EMERGANCY!! ALL HANDS ON DECK!

The city of Lake Elsinore has been granted permission by the Riverside Superior Court to begin demolition of the Ambassador Hotel on Main Street! Contractors have breached the building and have begun removing roof tiles in preparation for demolition. The property owners have filed an emergency appeal, but it looks like the demolition will continue. This is the most historic building in the city!!

Start making calls and writing emails to the mayor and city council members to let your voice be heard!

What are your thoughts regarding the poem that adorns the Statue of Liberty in New York harbor? Is it still relevant? [POEM]

The New Collossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,

With conquering limbs astride from land to land;

Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand

A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame

Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name

Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand

Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command

The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she

With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

New to Mercari

Very new to Mercari and decided to join this sub today. So far, nearly all of the posts that I've read are nothing but complaints regarding various issues from both buyers and sellers. I was hoping to get some great tips from successful sellers, but now I'm not so sure that selling on Mercari is a good idea.

Is there anyone here that's had a great experience with Mercari or is this sub just an echo chamber of negativity?
