We had him for $775K. Again, good for Sam-O, sounds like a lot for him, maybe that’s the value of a young middle 6 forward with upside in 2026.
I’ll just say Eetu at $5M until 2035 sounds MUCH better.

Holy crap the 03-04 Avs had TEN former captains on their roster.
With the addition of Brady, him, Marchy, Matthew, Jones, and Barky make 5 on our roster next year, and got me curious which NHL roster held the record. The Avs that year had TEN!!!!

Tonight’s Symphony Tasting
The blanco is just there for show. We did a vertical tasting of the three symphony releases. For those that don’t know Mijenta had some custom “symphony” barrels with staves made from wood from forests in Missouri, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Virginia to age these bottles in
Cristalino. Aged in the barrel for 8 months then charcoal filtered to clear. 80 proof. This was my least favorite of the three. But in all fairness I’ve never been a fan of spending the time to build character in wood only to strip it away. The base juice is still quality. Plenty of agave but the notes of aging are understandably muted.
Reposado. Also aged 8 months but not charcoal filtered and bottle at 90 proof. For me this was probably the best QPR of the bunch. Plenty of vanilla, baking spices to go with the agave forward base juice. This bottle was emptied first by the crew.
Añejo. Aged 18 months and 90 proof as well. Like the repo but everything seems turned up a touch. My favorite drink of the night but I don’t think the difference in cost from the repo is warranted if we are considering value at all.
Overall a fun night of tasting and I love the fact that Mijenta had the vision to try something different.

If you really want to test your relationship…make your Sunday together project to replace the rubber boot seal on an LG front-loading washer in tight quarters.
After receiving the new original LG replacement we gave it a go today. While disassembly went well, getting the new seal placed properly with the (2) spring-tensioner(s) in the correct groove(s) almost had me throwing in the towel. On completing the project, not our 28-year marriage.
Job time about 2.5 hours, with at least 1.5 of it working on securing the new seal.
Oh and if you choose to take it on spend the money to get the spring-spreader tool on Amazon. It’s considered optional but in no way would I consider that accurate.

I am already pretty deeply invested in the Chase credit card ecosystem, with 5 different Chase cards collecting ultimate rewards points.
I applied for and received the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card and as soon as I receive the physical card, will use it for the initial deposit and all Marriott wedding expenses. Is there a cap on the 6x that I believe I receive for putting this on the card? Am I doing this right to maximize the return short of going with a higher annual fee which I didn't see as worth it?
