Everything collapsed in 120 days

I spent 5 years building my career and portfolio in performance marketing.

But in the last 120 days, almost everything collapsed.

Four months ago, I signed a big client. I decided to put most of my focus into that account, paused work with some of my other clients, and gave it everything I had.

The campaigns were actually performing well. I was getting results I was genuinely proud of.

Then the payments started getting delayed.

First, it was:

"We'll pay next week."

Then came more excuses and empty promises.

After working for almost two months without getting paid, they completely ghosted me.

I told myself that things like this happen. Take the loss and move on.

Then another major problem hit.

My LinkedIn account got banned.

No clear warning. No proper explanation.

I've been trying to contact LinkedIn support for almost two months. I've sent emails, reached out on Twitter, and tried every route I could find.

Still nothing.

For me, LinkedIn wasn't just a social media account.

It was my professional identity, my network, my client acquisition channel, and a major part of how I made a living.

One day, I suddenly lost access to years of connections and opportunities.

Honestly, it hit me hard. I felt extremely low and lost for a while.

But eventually, I realized something:

LinkedIn is gone. The clients are gone. But my skills and 5+ years of experience are still here.

So I'm starting again from almost zero.

I'm currently looking for performance marketing work— freelance projects, part-time work, short-term campaigns, agency work, referrals, or even opportunities to help businesses with their existing campaigns.

I can help with:

Meta Ads

Google Ads

Performance Marketing

D2C / E-commerce campaigns

Lead Generation

Campaign Optimization

Retargeting

Conversion-focused campaigns

I'm looking for work immediately.

If you're a marketer, founder, business owner, agency owner, or someone who knows a business that needs help with paid advertising, I'd genuinely appreciate a referral, introduction, or opportunity.

Even if you don't have work yourself, sharing this with someone who might need a performance marketer could make a huge difference right now.

Starting from zero is scary, but I still have 5+ years of experience behind me.

Thank you for reading.

Rules for common people, exceptions for those enforcing them?

Saw this today — a police officer sitting in the front/driver area of an auto-rickshaw.

Regular auto drivers are frequently stopped, fined and issued challans for traffic violations.

Some violations can result in hefty fines. But when someone enforcing those rules does the same thing, are the rules suddenly different?

I’m not against police enforcing traffic rules. They absolutely should.

But the same rules should apply to everyone, including the people enforcing them.

If an ordinary auto driver did this, would they be allowed to get away with it, or would they receive a challan and fine?

Rules can’t be one-sided. If citizens are expected to follow traffic laws, authorities should set the example too.

Freelancers: How do you protect yourself from clients who don't pay?

I've been freelancing for a couple of years, but I've lost a significant amount of money because of clients who either delayed payments or never paid at all.

I have a few questions for experienced freelancers:

- How do you manage your finances when client payments are unpredictable?

- Do your clients usually pay on time?

- What steps do you take before onboarding a new client?

- Do you use contracts, advance payments, milestones, or anything else to protect yourself?

I'd really appreciate any advice, best practices, or lessons you've learned from experience.

I don't want to make the same mistakes again.

Thanks in advance.

LinkedIn restricted my account even after multiple ID verifications. Has anyone successfully recovered theirs?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone here has been through this and can point me in the right direction.

My LinkedIn account was suddenly restricted. Since then, I've completed the identity verification process multiple times and uploaded my government-issued ID every time LinkedIn requested it.

Despite that, my account is still restricted. I haven't received any meaningful update, and every attempt seems to lead me back to the same automated verification process.

This account is very important to me because I use LinkedIn for professional networking, job opportunities, and connecting with clients. Losing access has had a significant impact on my work.

Has anyone here successfully recovered a restricted LinkedIn account after repeated ID verification? If so:

- How long did it take?

- Were you able to contact a real person from LinkedIn?

- Is there any escalation process or email address that actually works?

I'd really appreciate any advice or experiences you can share. Thank you.

I've realized over the last couple of weeks that I genuinely enjoy my own company.

Lately I've been taking my laptop or a book to a nearby park, sitting on a bench, and just working or reading.

It's surprisingly relaxing. The greenery, birds chirping, fresh air, and the silence make such a huge difference.

Honestly, I feel way less stressed working in a park than being stuck between four walls all day.

If you're in Hyderabad, give it a try. There are plenty of parks that are peaceful and almost empty, especially during weekdays.

It's a simple change, but it has made my days feel much calmer.

Has anyone else started enjoying spending time alone like this?

Just watched Rao Bahadur.

Overall, I felt it's a good film with a strong concept and solid writing.

Satyadev absolutely gave one of his best performances.

My only complaint is the songs. They felt like they interrupted the flow of the movie instead of adding to it. I think the film would've been even more engaging with fewer or better-placed songs.

What did you all think? Did the movie work for you?

Does anyone else felt the same in Hyderabad malls?

Whenever I visit a mall in Hyderabad, I often come across donation stalls run by NGOs or charities.

Usually, they stop me, explain their cause, and ask if I’d like to donate. I genuinely appreciate the work many of these organizations do, and I think volunteering and fundraising are important.

But what makes me uncomfortable is that some of them say the minimum donation is ₹500. In other cases, they say there’s no minimum, but when I politely say I can’t donate right now, they give me a look that makes me feel judged or guilty.

Since this happens in the middle of a busy mall, it can feel embarrassing, almost like you’re being made to look stingy in front of other people.

I don’t mind being asked. I also don’t mind saying no. But I don’t think anyone should be made to feel inferior or pressured into donating.

Has anyone else experienced this in Hyderabad malls? Is this a common fundraising tactic, or have I just been unlucky?

Are funded trading accounts actually worth it, or are they just good marketing?

I’ve been seeing a lot of ads and videos about funded trading accounts, where you pass an evaluation and get access to a large trading account without risking much of your own capital.

It sounds appealing, but I’m wondering what the reality is.

For those who have actually used funded accounts:
Are they genuinely worth it?

How difficult is it to pass the evaluation?

Have you successfully received payouts?

What are the biggest drawbacks or hidden rules that beginners should know?

Are these firms sustainable, or do most traders end up losing the challenge fees?

If you had to start again, would you choose a funded account or trade with your own capital?

Looking for honest experiences from people who’ve actually traded with funded accounts, both positive and negative.

Is AI Graphic Design a good career in 2026? Looking for advice from professionals.

I’ve been hearing a lot about AI-powered graphic design and how tools like Midjourney, Flux, Firefly, and ChatGPT are changing the creative industry.

I’m considering learning AI graphic design as a career, but I’m not sure what the reality looks like.

I’d love to hear from people who are already working in this field:

What exactly does an AI graphic designer do?
Is it a good long-term career, or is the market becoming saturated?

What are the biggest pros and cons of this profession?

What’s the best learning path for someone starting from scratch?

Which skills should I focus on besides using AI tools (Photoshop, branding, typography, marketing, etc.)?
Is freelancing better than working for a company?

What income range can a beginner, intermediate, and experienced AI graphic designer realistically expect in India?

I’m looking for honest advice from people with real-world experience rather than YouTube hype.

Everyone praises the love story of Krishna and Radha, but which book should I read to understand their complete story?

I’ve often heard people describe Krishna and Radha’s relationship as one of the greatest love stories ever told. It’s referenced in literature, music, poetry, movies, and spiritual discussions.

However, I’ve never actually read their story in full.
If someone wants to understand the complete story of Krishna and Radha—from the original sources rather than modern retellings—which books would you recommend?

Are there specific scriptures or texts that focus on their relationship?

Is there a single book that tells the story comprehensively?

Which version is considered the most authentic or widely respected?

Have any fiction books genuinely changed your life? If so, how?

People often talk about non-fiction books changing the way they think, work, or live. But I’m curious about fiction.

Have you ever read a novel, story, or fictional character that had a lasting impact on your life, mindset, relationships, or decisions?

Which fiction book changed you the most?
What was the lesson or realization you took from it?

Did it change the way you see people, love, ambition, failure, or life in general?

Why do you think fiction can sometimes have a deeper impact than non-fiction?

Already own a Royal Enfield Classic 350 (2017). Considering an Ather 450 for Hyderabad city use—pros and cons?

I currently own a 2017 Royal Enfield Classic 350 and enjoy it for weekend rides and longer trips.
However, for daily commuting in Hyderabad traffic, I’m considering buying an Ather 450.

My main reasons are easier maneuverability, lower running costs, and avoiding constant gear shifting in stop-and-go traffic.

For those who have switched from a motorcycle to an electric scooter (especially an Ather), what has your experience been like?

What are the biggest advantages you’ve noticed?

What are the drawbacks that aren’t obvious during a test ride?

How is the real-world range after a few years of ownership?

Any issues with charging, battery degradation, or service?

Do you still use your motorcycle regularly, or has the scooter replaced most of your rides?

Why do Indian startups keep raising billions despite making huge losses?

I’ve noticed that many of India’s biggest startups—such as Swiggy, PhonePe, Ola, Flipkart, and PharmEasy—have reported significant losses for years, yet investors continue to fund them.

From an outsider’s perspective, a traditional business that loses money year after year would struggle to survive. So what makes investors confident enough to keep investing in these startups?

Is it purely about market share and future monopoly potential?

Are these losses actually strategic investments rather than operational failures?

At what point should investors become concerned?
Which Indian startups do you think will eventually justify their valuations, and which ones won’t?

I’d love to hear opinions from founders, investors, employees, and anyone who follows the Indian startup ecosystem closely. Is the “growth first, profit later” model still valid in 2026?
