New York State Poll: Sanders and Buttigieg have highest net favorability (Data for Progress)

Politico reported on this recent NY poll by Data for Progress: https://www.politico.com/newsletters/new-york-playbook/2026/06/08/the-two-most-popular-men-in-new-york-00953139

The poll found that Bernie Sanders (+15) and Pete Buttigieg (+13) have the highest net favorability in the state of New York.

They were followed by Josh Shapiro (+9), Zohran Mamdani (+7), Kirsten Gillibrand (+5), AOC (+3), Kathy Hochul (+1), Kamala Harris (-2), Gavin Newsom (-3), Hakeem Jeffries (-4), Chuck Schumer (-15), and Donald Trump (-27).

A few politicians in this poll had less than 60% name recognition [Chris Van Hollen (+1), Ritchie Torres (0), Rahm Emanuel (-4)], so I didn't list them above.

Buttigieg is popular with Colorado Democrats

I came across this Change Research poll conducted on May 16-22nd.

It asked Colorado Democratic primary voters how they feel about potential 2028 candidates. 69% said they would consider voting for Pete Buttigieg — by far the highest of anyone listed. Only 14% said they would not vote for Pete — the lowest of anyone listed.

The Transparent Election Initiative is advocating for "The Montana Plan" ballot initiative to get corporate and dark money out of politics. They're hosting a town hall about it with Pete Buttigieg in Butte tomorrow.
