Painful tooth lead to excruciating pains in my face. Is this a tumor?

A bad tooth that I’ve been ignoring for quite a while started getting pretty painful. I made a dentist appointment, and had an x ray done and scheduled a root canal for said tooth. After the x ray was finished, I noticed there is an oval above the bad tooth (left side, top molar).

I was sent home with antibiotics (amoxicillin), and 800 mg ibuprofen. The pain in my tooth decreased and I was looking forward to the root canal. 3 days into the amoxicillin, I started feeling a stinging burning pain in my cheekbones, temples, nose, and jaw. This pain was constant and unbearable. 2 days later, the right side of my face was no longer feeling this pain, but the left side (the side with the tooth) still had pain and was getting worse.

It got to a point where I couldn’t open my mouth. I can only breathe out of my right nostril. And my left eye feels like it’s about to pop, and feels like it is poking out. The tooth still doesn’t feel any more pain, just the entire left side of my face. Now the pain started extending down to the left side of my throat / neck. (I have multiple suspicious thyroid nodules on the left side).

I went to the hospital because I just could not handle the pain any longer. They performed a CT scan, and that’s the results in the second picture. They referred me to an ENT to find out what the obstruction is. I’m worried this might be a tumor because of the extent of this pain. Is anyone familiar with this type of situation?

Can you relate to any of these?

I’m not a clean person. When I do clean, I become angry when anyone touches anything I have cleaned. Because of this, I have learned to purposely ignore cleaning. The thought of cleaning floors makes me physically sick to my stomach because they are never truly clean, and never stay clean.

I can’t eat food that has been out of my sight. I don’t trust the air, or people around it.

I hate being outside. Mostly because of bugs, but also because of people looking at me. I just hate it. Too many little things like bugs, dirt, and people.

I have to lay on my side of the bed, and my side of the bed only. I do not like people lying on my side of the bed, and if they do, I feel repulsed to touch that area again. I feel like it is contaminated.

I strongly dislike pets. I can tolerate cats, but I think dogs are disgusting.

I hate liquids, or the feeling of my skin being wet. Anything wet really. Especially bodily fluids. Absolute YUCK. This has severely affected my sex life.

I check apps on my phone back to back all day every day. I check my Fitbit vitals every 20 minutes, sometimes every 5 minutes throughout the day. I check my messages and refresh my feed constantly, several times per hour.

I struggle buying clothes, decorating, choosing phone wallpaper / backgrounds, styling myself because I cannot commit to colors. I feel afraid of not being able to commit to a color, and the thought terrifies me.

I have several other phases, tics, and obsessions, but I’m curious who can relate to any of the ones I’ve mentioned.

Hydroxyzine is slowing my breathing?

31F, just found out I have sleep apnea. I normally take hydroxyzine here and there for anxiety or insomnia, but I’m realizing that it worsens my breathing during wake and sleep.

Now I’m scared of falling asleep, because I’m aware. I usually wake up with chest soreness, knowing I didn’t breathe properly through the night, but hydroxyzine makes me feel like weight was crushing my chest all night.

I’m not overweight, no heart conditions that I know of. Just ADHD (medicated), thyroid issues (maybe it’s the nodules?), and I’m very very sleepy and exhausted every day.

Does anyone else take hydroxyzine?

How oblivious could I possibly be?

My mother was bullied growing up for excessive blinking.

I was bullied growing up for excessive blinking, touching things and smelling my hands afterwards, scrunching my nose, flexing my eyebrows, clearing my throat, and drawing words in the air with my finger every time a thought came to mind. Especially my name in cursive.

My 8 year old son has started blinking and clearing his throat excessively, to the point of asking me why it is so hard for him to stop.

I have always chalked this off as autism, as we are both high functioning. I never questioned it, until I came across an interview talking about Tourette’s.

I am floored. You mean to tell me, the unstoppable urge to follow my brain’s desires has a real explanation? How oblivious could I possibly be?
