Glen Nevis 2 night best option?

2 nights camping or 2 nights at the hostel? The hostel is a bit closer to the trail, but I'm not sure if that's worth staying there or not.

Wrapping up booking accommodations for next May. Planning to hit Ben Nevis before the last few km into Ft Williams. I'm a slow hiker, so I'm considering 2 nights in Glen Nevis as a base camp while doing the mtn, then head into FW after the second night. I'm doing both camp/hostels throughout my trek. Debating between whether I want to do 2 nights in a tent or in a pod at the Glen Nevis campsite, or at the Glen Nevis hostel.

Dealing with Stolen Item?

Has anyone else had an item stolen out of the package? I reached out via email to PD, but I can't seem to find if there's any other way to contact them about this or if it's really just waiting a day for someone to respond.

I ordered 2 city crescents, only 1 arrived. The box was pretty mangled and clearly retaped. I took photos before opening it up.

Unfortunately this was not only my first order with them, but the color I ordered in the large is also sold out now (stone).

Had anyone figured out how to get new clothing added to Wardrobe?

Basically the title. I got it set up and apparently it only picked up mostly my hiking clothes. I'd love to get it updated with clothes I'd actually be interested in seeing it work with, but I can't figure out any way to get it updated and there seems to be limited info about it online. If it's supposed to automatically intake new photos it doesn't seem to be doing that.

Anyone else 15+ years post-op of a TTO and started having issues?

Been having some "new" knee issues that I just got the results of an MRI back for. Trying to see if there's a trend of issues people generally start having after a TTO or my knee is just perpetually deranged 😅

This knee, I had a cartilage cleanup when I was 12 (27 years ago) and then eventually had a TTO that'll be 17 years old in a few weeks. I've never had an issue since then, though the last few years it's been more achy, and after a recent fall backpacking I got an MRI for a suspected meniscus tear (that was negative) but identified a lot of other issues that are relative to the pain I'm having, but also seem relevant to the TTO.

Passed pre-trip inspection

Excited to take the xdome out on its maiden voyage later this week, doing some miles on the NCT in PA. Unfortunately the inspection crew isn't tagging along for this trip. I still love my copper spur 2p, but was looking for something a bit lighter and still roomy.

Great show in Estero the other night!

Went to the concert in Estero, did the backstage VIP. I took my dad to the show and got us second row aisle seats just offset from center stage. I've been to close to 10 concerts and this felt like one of the best ones yet. Going again in July when he's up in the northeast. It was a blast!

Went to Weird Al this week!

Shirt: RSVLTS Panama City 3x womens and Lane Bryant tank 22/24.

Bottom: Torrid shorts, 20

Took a gamble on the shirt instead of the men's sizing and went with women's. I don't think I would've been able to button it if I had wanted to, but it otherwise fit good in the shoulders, etc.

Books about hiking west highland way (or similar).

Looking for books that are written by people who have hiked the trail and their experience. Preferably about the West Highland Way, but open to other books about similar hiking trails. I've got a bunch queued up about the AT. Not sure what to call these kinds of books, not necessarily autobiography but just people writing about their experience. Thanks!

Question re: Booking 2 rooms?

I've never booked 2 rooms before and just looking for a little insight. I'm going on a trip with my dad and am planning to get a second room.

- Are the rooms under a single reservation?

- If it is a single reservation, does it all fall under the one person or would he have a separate check in/out? Ideally he wouldn't get any of the info outside of a room key, I can hear him now complaining about costs, etc. if he were to see it.

- Obviously I won't get points for 2 rooms, is there anything else to be aware of?

Came across a Barred Owl while hiking today! (RI)

Hiking at a local Audubon property in RI when I almost literally walked into a perched owl as I was staring at the trail walking. It flew off the branch over the trail onto the other side of the same tree. Absolutely incredible.
