Hey everyone,

I’m posting this as a warning and to see if anyone else has faced similar safety issues with Zepto recently.

I ordered a packet of refined oil through their app. When it was delivered, I immediately noticed that the section containing the manufacturing date, expiry date, and batch information was completely wiped out. It looks incredibly sketchy, and obviously, it's unsafe to consume cooking oil without knowing if it's expired.

I reached out to Zepto's customer support right away, expecting a standard refund or replacement. Instead, their response was completely dismissive. They basically told me that because the packet was "not tampered" with (meaning there were no physical cuts or leaks), there was no issue.

How does an intact seal matter if the vital safety and expiry information is literally missing or erased?

I have completely lost trust in Zepto and their quality control. If they are willing to deliver untraceable consumables and defend it, who knows what else slips through the cracks.

Scheduled Train Delivery No-Show at Agra Station.

Yesterday, I placed a food order for my family through the Swiggy app, scheduled for delivery at the Agra railway station. Our train, originally scheduled for 9:58 PM, was delayed by 30 minutes. To ensure a smooth handoff, I proactively contacted customer support 15-20 minutes prior to our arrival. Despite this, absolutely no one showed up to deliver our food when the train reached the station.

​This level of service is pathetic and unacceptable. Had I been traveling alone, it would have been a mere inconvenience, but leaving my family distressed and hungry on a train is unforgivable. If Swiggy cannot reliably fulfill train deliveries, you should not falsely advertise this service on your app. I have learned my lesson and will no longer be relying on Swiggy.

Kendriya Sachivalaya mixup!!

So, I was traveling on the Delhi Metro today, minding my own business, when a group of 3-4 innocent countryside boys came up to me.

​One of them politely asked, "Bhaiya, shauchalay kahan hai?" (Brother, where is the toilet?).

​Now, we all know most metro stations don't exactly have toilets right there on the platforms or concourse. So, I went into full helpful-guide mode and told them, "Shauchalay yahan andar toh nahi milega, lekin aap neeche jao, road cross karo, toh wahan aapko shauchalay mil jayega."

​They looked a bit confused. That's when another guy from their group stepped forward to correct his friend. He earnestly looked at me and said:

​"Nahi nahi... Kendriya... Kendriya Shauchalay. Humein Kendriya Shauchalay jana hai."

​My brain buffered for a solid two seconds before it clicked. I looked at them, trying so hard to hold back my smile, and asked, "Kendriya Shauchalay ya Kendriya Sachivalaya?"

​Yes, they were trying to find the Kendriya Sachivalaya (Central Secretariat) metro station and had completely butchered the name into Kendriya Shauchalay (Central Toilet)! 😭

​I ended up laughing so hard. I obviously helped them figure out the right route, but man, that innocent mix-up absolutely made my day.
