Have you guys ever made a quest with what you thought were really cool ideas, but the people playing the heros completely skipped the cool part not knowing any better, or it didn’t go as planned. Then you think to yourself…damn, that didn’t go as I planned. Haha!
If you could pick one or two things from your home brew that have made the game more enjoyable what would they be? I personally have made a lot of changes haha, but one thing that stands out is using custom tile layouts and making all the hallways and doors two tiles wide. It always annoyed me with bottlenecks happening in the game.
I’m no pro at this game, and it’s been a while since I’ve played. But, is playing with the shieldbreaker like playing on an easier mode? I feel like maybe I shouldn’t include her next time I play for more of a challenge? I just remember her being over powered, or maybe it was because I didn’t know how to use the other characters that well?
I was wanting to get against the ogre horde. But, I don’t see it on Amazon, are they out of print or something? Should I get the jungle expansion while I see it? I don’t want to pay crazy prices for waiting too long. Haha

Hello! So, for our next game night I wanna try the super bug challenge from state of emergency. I’m curious for anyone who has played it if it’s actually that challenging. I ask because in the rules they tell you to add the quarantine markers plus the bonus cards. It seems adding those really counter any challenge it would give. I know I could modify it and not add the quarantine markers and bonus cards, but I’m not sure if I should keep them in or not. So, is this challenge that tough? I’d say we are average at the game overall if that helps. haha
Hello, is there a way to turn off a feature when you touch the top left(maybe right too) of the screen and it scrolls all the way up and refreshes everything. I can’t count the amount of times I lost something I was looking at on Instagram or Facebook because of that. I never once have found it useful, so I would like to turn it off if it’s possible? I just don’t know how.
Hello, if I order a pizza online and add a tip in the total. Do I also tip the driver when they deliver the pizza, or is their tip supposed to be to be included in the tip from the online order? Thanks!
Hello, I bought another expansion for the game pandemic. I’ve been using sleeves from gamegenic with are matte 66x91, I can’t seem to find them on amazon or on the gamegenic website at the moment. If I buy sleeves in the same size and matted from a different brand, would that work, or would it be easy to tell the difference from each brand? I don’t deal a lot with sleeves, but I’m assuming it wouldn’t be a good idea to buy a different brand of sleeves and mix them in with the current brand of sleeves for a game. I suppose I just have to wait and hope the gamegenic ones become available soon.
Hello, my roommate keeps a standing fan and ceiling fan going all day in their room with the door closed while they are at work. Is this helpful for keeping the room cooler or a waste of energy and money? The blinds are closed to keep the sun rays out which is helpful, but it seems with the bedroom door closed you’re just moving the air around and it’s not really doing much. The center air isn’t circulating throughout the house at the moment, if that matters. I just hate wasting money in my house if I don’t have to haha
Hello, I just got state of emergency, and was thinking about the new roles included. I was curious what some of you experts thought of having both the quarantine specialist and Colonel active in a game. They have similar roles and with the colonel you have all 6 quarantine markers in play. You could block off a lot of cities from getting diseases with both roles. Would it be like playing on easy mode? Lol
Hello! I want to buy some scotch moss and grow it in my yard. My question is, will it grow over bark dust laid over landscape fabric? I like the landscape fabric because it makes pulling out weeds easy as they can’t root deep into the ground. The bark wouldn’t be big chips, more like small standard size bark dust. If the bark is a problem, I could push it away and just have soil underneath and around the moss in hopes it spreads, but still have landscape fabric underneath if that would work? Thanks
I’m thinking of purchasing state of emergency, that is if I can find it anywhere as it must be out of print. But, a lot of the stuff looks uninteresting to me, except for a couple things. So, my question is for those who have it and play it- Are the emergency event cards fun to play with and is the super bug challenge more fun than the standard mutation challenge from the other expansions? I’d say most the new roles look uninteresting maybe expect for the Colonel role with the quarantine markers. Thanks!
I’m having a game night tonight and finally want to try out something more than the base game with my friends. What would be a good starter for us? I was thinking between- Lab challenge, virulent strain challenge, Mutation challenge or mutation challenge: worldwide panic? I’d say we are somewhere in the middle overall skill wise, not having played the game a ton, but understand it well enough. Thanks!
