My baby is walking !!!!

Some of you may have seen me post a lot about my baby not walking. He started walking finally. He's take more than 20 steps at once before resorting to crawling. I'm so happy. Just 10 days short of turning 15 months. He looks so handsome and tall. I love him so much.

How long did your baby make you wait before taking those first independent steps

My little one is 14 months old and seems determined to keep us guessing. He cruises, stands, and looks completely capable... then decides crawling is still the superior mode of transportation.

At this point, I feel like I'm waiting for a celebrity appearance: "Any day now!" 😂

When did your late walkers start walking?

14 month old has regressed from potty training

My 14 month old was almost potty trainied. We started at 7 months when he could sit propey. We'd offer potty on a schedule and he was almost potty trained when he suddenly regressed. Now he only poops in the diaper. It's been 10 days and he just wouldn't go in the potty. We are using baby bjorn potty and I feel legs his legs are not propped in the right way because of his height. Is it time to move to seat reducer? He's in the 98th percentile for his height.

Can I Exit a RERA-Suspended Real Estate Project and Claim Interest/Damages?

I invested in a redevelopment project in the Nava Vadaj area of Ahmedabad in 2021 and booked a 3 BHK flat.

So far, I have paid approximately ₹80 lakh, of which ₹45 lakh is through a home loan. A Banakhat (Agreement to Sell) was executed in 2021. The remaining amount payable is around ₹30 lakh, which the builder is now demanding along with execution of the sale deed and registration.

However, the project has still not received Building Use (BU) permission. As per the RERA registration, the project's completion date is December 2026.

Two days ago, GujRERA passed an order suspending/cancelling the project's registration and barred further sales and construction activities. I am still trying to understand the full implications of the order.

Key facts:

3 BHK flat in a redevelopment project in Nava Vadaj, Ahmedabad

Flat value: ₹1.09 crore (excluding registration charges)

Banakhat executed in 2021

Amount paid till date: ~₹80 lakh

Home loan component: ~₹45 lakh

Balance payable: ~₹30 lakh

BU permission not received

RERA completion date: December 2026

GujRERA has now suspended/cancelled the project's registration and stopped further sales and construction

My questions are:

Should I pay the remaining amount and proceed with registration under these circumstances?

What are my options if I want to exit the project and recover my money?

Can I claim interest on the amount paid, home loan interest, compensation for delay, or other damages from the builder?

Has anyone here dealt with a similar situation involving a GujRERA action against a project? What was the outcome?

I would appreciate any advice from lawyers, homebuyers, or others who have dealt with RERA disputes in Gujarat.

Need insights regarding age gap.

So I have finally made up my mind about a second child. My boy is 14 months right now. We have been targeting a 3 year age gap I think but my husband thinks we should not wait lol because of his age. Anyway what's a good age gap between kids where the first is more independent in terms of playing, eating, potty etc. What's a more manageable age gap? 3 or four years?

Mom of tall babies when did your toddler walk?

My toddler is going to be 14 months in a week and so far we don't see any signs of him ready to walk independently. He furniture cruises and stands without support but no walking. I looked up if that's got anything to do with this height. He's taller that most two years old. I found only anecdotal evidence and the data doesn't support it. Just curious if anyone's tall baby walked later.

Anyone from Ahmedabad?

Do not have lot of mom friends. I have always been good at making friends online. If anyone from Ahmedabad is intrested in rambling about parenting, let's connect. For context I have a 13 month old.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share a recent pregnancy scare in case it helps someone avoid the same spiral I went through.

I initially tested with an Easy@Home strip. There was no visible line within the recommended time, but when I checked again after about 10 minutes, I noticed a faint line. That was enough to trigger a lot of anxiety.

The next morning, I tested again with first morning urine, but the result was invalid. Still uneasy, I ordered additional tests (Azah and Preg Oh from Blinkit). Both appeared to show faint lines, which only intensified my concern.

At that point, I decided to get a beta hCG test done. The result came back low/negative, which confirmed that I was not pregnant and brought the situation to a close.

A few takeaways from this experience:

* Results observed outside the recommended time window can be misleading (evaporation lines are very real)

* Not all test brands are equally reliable, especially when it comes to faint lines.

* Repeated testing can sometimes amplify anxiety rather than provide clarity

* A beta hCG test, while more expensive, is far more definitive and may save a lot of stress

In hindsight, I wish I had skipped the repeated home tests and gone straight for a blood test.

Sharing this in case it helps someone else approach a similar situation more calmly and with better information.
