Headrush Core: Give your best tip please

Headrush Core: Give your best tip please

Hello there!

I am a fresh owner of the Headrush Core!

I was on the edge to buy a QC or a Stadium for like a year and finally went for the Core out of nowhere. (Ok because of Nam + a post on Reddit that says it’s good for modern metal)

Here is my Setup:
Headrush Core connected with 4CM to my Orange Supercrush 100 combo
DT770 Pro

With this setup I can:
Play the core effects with the Supercrush by using FX loop block

Play an amp sim and effects through the Supercrush by not using the FX loop block

Play amp sim/cab in the DT 770 pro 80ohms

I plan to buy either an fr12 cab or some Focal 65 evo later on.

It’s my first digital amp and even if I’ve seen a lot of vidéos, do you guys have some general tips to share?

I have been using it for like 4 hours, so far so good! Not sure if I like it through the Supercrush but I’ve read that power amp + cab is a good way to make amp sim sounds better. Many people like the pedal baby which is the same as the SuperCrush without some pots. Maybe the speaker! It sounds kind of dark

Thanks!!

NGD: RGR5221B the good and the… less good?

Hello there!

My first guitar was an Ibanez ART120, 20 years ago.

I had this guitar in sight for a while and pulled the trigger! Well at first it was the RGR5221 but I already own a Schecter in orange so when I saw this one, it was like a signal to catch!

It is the first time that I buy a guitar in this Price range and MIJ. I was looking at either an E-II M-II NT or a prestige and this one was on sale for 1650€ brand new.

After 3 different LTD 1000 that I returned because of issues (the 3 from Korea), I decided to step up in range.

Out of the box, it was a real wow! The only other MIJ guitar I tried was a Yamaha PACP12M in a store because it was on sale at 1250€ and I didn’t get the same feeling. It feels very good and it is a beauty to look at.

I was curious to know if the neck will feel good to me, it does! My 2 mains guitars are Schecter C1 Hellraiser in drop B and a Schecter Nick J. Traditional. So the Wizard is very different and yet very cool!

The BKP, I don’t know how to feel yet, I need to play with them a bit more. My favorite PU at the moment is the Custom 14, I loved it in the Phoenix 1001qm but the shape of this Guitar was too weird for me.

But, there are some flaws in the neck binding and I do not know what to think yet. I checked on Reddit/forum and this is kind of common sadly.

There are several (from tools I guess) small scratches on the neck binding. I can feel them with my nail. The binding is also a bit dirty at one place.

I have found in forum for similar cases that some says QC is now bad at ibanez, some says that it’s acceptable, some not.

I wonder if this fixable and if it’s worth a discount from a store?

I want to keep it for now, love at first sight. I will wait the honey moon phase anyway.

Thanks!

ESP M1001NT - Frets QC question

Hello!

Like some other people I have ordered the M1001NT during the Thomann sale. As well with the Phoenix 1001 QM but this one is too weird to play on, like everything is off on the left. So I will send it back but I’m not sure for the M1001.

I received one from Korea but I don’t know what to expect from the quality of the Guitar.

Finish is beautiful and it plays pretty good but it got some flaws. I just don’t know if it is « normal » level of flaws for a korean 1000 series ?

My main concern is the frets, some are installed crookedly, they seems to be leveled, low action and slight buzz on high E with big attack but some are definitly crooked.

Can this be an issue of some kind?

Thanks!

Forza Horizon 6 - Alpha U, TB-1 and Heusinkveld U+ - setup + This is really fun!

Hello there,

Just a quick feedback on how to make the FFB work with such a combo without any a extra software(s)

I have tried for 2 hours yesterday and finally find a way this morning after some googling.

Understanding:
Your wheelbase must be « Device 1 » in FH6 because FH6 is sending FFB signal to the device 1 only.

Some tips:
The Handbrake must be connected directly to the base or he will always take the FFB from the wheelbase.

You need to start the the game with your pedals unplugged from the computer. (Yeah, it’s the annoying part)

Because there is no others way to force your wheelbase to be Device 1.

Once you are in the game, configure your wheel and only then plug your pedals to configure them. You might go back to the main menu then again on the control menu to be able to setup the pedals input.

And voilà.

Next Time you start the game, remember to unplugg the pedals, go to input to double check of the wheelbase is Device 1, if yes, plug the pedals and go! If no, set the wheel input again, it will take the Device 1 spot and you can then plug the pedals.

Feedback!

I am a racing game enjoyer (sim / simcade or even arcade) but I thought that FH was a controller game! I started playing with FH4 and enjoyed FH5, both on controller without even thinking of trying it with my rig. What a mistake!

It is so much fun and it is pretty good in FFB and feeling! Worth the struggle.

Give it a try!
