Looking at buying a NJ/PA JK

118k miles, CarFax looks good with routine maintenance, interior is great and no mods. All of the shocks look like they need replacing. Anything of concern looking at the underside?

I have a LJ and know what I'm getting myself into lolz.

Installing old fan controller on 2-gang switch box

My wife bought this vintage ceiling fan that comes with a speed selector switch.

It was screwed into a single gang workbox.

My goal:

Install it so it's sturdy enough to use the selector (I was thinking about getting shorter screws).

Cover the unused switch.

What I was thinking about doing is getting a blank 2-gang plate and drilling a hole to run the wires for the controller through and drill pilot holes for the mounting screws.

I was going to remove the dimmer switch and cap off the wires.

Does this sound like a good plan?

Bus didn't even slow down

I've had an awful long day, and to watch my bus pass my stop like it's nobody's business, sucks. If I didn't ride the same bus so much I'd drop the line. Did I mention this sucks.

Metro Bus Pay With GPay Wallet?

I factory reset my phone and I'm trying to add my Smartrip back to my wallet, but it looks like I have to call customer service Monday to reset my card. I need to ride the bus tomorrow and I've never paid with my debit card linked to my Wallet. I'm going to be mortified if it doesn't work, but it should?

USAA AmEx Reporting to Agencies

Please remove if this doesn't belong here: I had a high balance on this card, paid it down the first week of June, Transunion and Equifax are still showing the high balance keeping my score in the good zone. I want to buy a used car and don't want to get a loan unless I'm back in the excellent zone. How long does it usually take for the agencies to catch up with the actual balance?

Blue Line Nightmare

Aaargh! Pentagon City is a mess. To start off I tapped, and the gate didn't open, fortunately the station manager let me in. The woman next to me exclaims she was charged twice. I go down to the Largo side and wait, and then we're told Largo is now on the other side. People waiting and someone asked about getting to Franconia, go back outside and catch a shuttle. I noticed they had one A frame sign saying all Blue lines this way. I just want to go home.

Deep Creek Mercantile, Skippy Anderson, Chesapeake Collection

I was thinking about this place today, Googled it and found this wonderful watercolor. I would go there after school at the old Deep Creek Junior High.

Just a boomer reminiscing about the old Deep Creek days.

When did Tidewater slip away from the lexicon of the locals?

I've lived all over the world for a long time, and now that I've been back it's Hampton Roads this and Hampton Roads that. What happened to Tidewater?
