Tips for building lines in HC Nuzlockes?

I love nuzlocking, but I think my worst aspect is how I build lines for important fights. Currently playing through RenPlat, and I consistently have a hard time against Fantina/Aaron.

Part of it is that I can't focus well enough, but also I have a hard time visualizing the position after about ten or so turns. I feel like I end up saying "fuck it I'll steer" more often after struggling to find a good line. My strategy just ends up being find the best Pokemon I have against the AI and then pray lolololol

Any tips or advice from your experience?

I re-tested Higgsfield alternatives in 2026 after trying Seedance 2.0 for short ad B-roll

I've been on Higgsfield for about 6 months now. cinematic stuff is genuinely good, Soul 2 saved me on a few small product spots. but the credit math is brutal.

burned through way too many credits last week on a 10s product clip. three generations failed mid render and each one still counted. dont want to do the per-clip math rn.

in 2026, the thing that made me re-test Higgsfield alternatives was Seedance 2.0, mostly for short ad B-roll. not full cinematic scenes. more like product photo or character art into a 5-10s social hook.

spent the weekend testing a few tools again. quick rundown for anyone in a similar spot:

Runway:quality is there, Gen-4 looks great. but credit burn felt similar and consistency on stylized/product shots wasnt reliable. fine for cinematic, not my go-to for 5s ad hooks.

Kling:motion is strong, I get why people like it. but for anime/2D product shots it kept pushing toward photoreal and the style drifted. great tool, wrong fit for what I needed.

Pika:fun for quick viral stuff. not really what id use for client ads, but I get why people like it for weird hooky clips.

Freepik:easy entry, decent model library. hit "model temporarily unavailable" mid project twice tho. their design tools still feel stronger than the video side imo.

DomoAI Animate and Seedance 2.0: this was the tradeoff that made the most sense for my use case. product photos, character art, flat 2D source images, short 5-10s ad hooks. the advantage wasnt "better cinematic video." it was source-style retention and fewer dead-end retries when I already had a decent source image.

still not magic. packaging text can drift, hands in frame are still risky, and if the product shot is bad, Seedance 2.0 is not going to save it. also not a full cinematic suite. if I need a polished 15-30s hero spot, Higgsfield or Runway still makes more sense.

ComfyUI / Wan - local control is real but I dont have time to maintain a workflow rn. probably better if you're technical.

honest answer: if I need cinematic 15-30s shots, Higgsfield or Runway still makes more sense. for 5-10s ad hooks from a product image or character art, I care more about source-style retention and retry cost than the prettiest demo reel.

different tools, different jobs.

attached clip is from the kind of case that actually clicked for me: a static perfume product image turned into a short animated hook. not a full cinematic ad, more like image-to-video for social cutdowns where keeping the bottle shape, glass reflections, liquid color, and label area consistent matters.

not posting a leaderboard yet. I still want to rerun the same source images through each tool, especially with packaging text and hands in frame.

What is your take on AI agents predicting the World Cup?

Seeing the significant discussion sparked by this, I suddenly realized that AI agents are no longer just passive tools generating text; they are increasingly being developed to participate in decision-making processes, particularly in areas such as forecasting, gaming, trading simulations, and structured competitions.

I’m curious how others here think about this.

How to process and improve supplier product data?

Hello everyone, I'm currently mainly responsible for new product development and product selection/procurement at our company. To be honest, our new product launch process is extremely cumbersome. For example, when sourcing cold-chain salmon, some suppliers provide spreadsheets (sometimes Excel, sometimes Google Sheets, and sometimes even PDFs converted to tables).

However, this data still needs to be manually reorganized before it can be used, and product evaluation consumes a significant amount of time. I recently dug deeper into accio sourcing toolkit and realized it can actually automatically extract all this unstructured data from different suppliers and generate a unified comparison table for me. It massively reduces the low-value work of manual Excel data entry. I'd like to know how others solve this data processing problem in practice, especially in large-scale applications?

what made crypto finally click for you?

When I first got into crypto, I thought the hardest part would be figuring out what to buy.

Turns out, the real nightmare is actually understanding what the hell you're doing.

Exchanges, wallets, spots, futures, leverage, limit orders... I watched a ton of tutorials, but honestly, the more I learned, the more confused I got.

After messing around with a few different platforms, I realized I didn't need a bunch of high-tier features. I just wanted the whole workflow to actually make sense. Lately, I’ve been trying out BYDFi, and what clicked for me was that I didn’t have to waste time hunting down menus,I could actually get a handle on the basic steps pretty fast.

I get that I’ll probably mess with more complex tools down the road, but tbf, crypto shouldn’t scare newbies away on day one.

When I was first starting out, I pretty much used the "trial by fire" method.

The new box looks heavy on actual chase cards. With retail being impossible lately I'm thinking about trying it. Anyone got early thoughts?

(F 29) indian haircare habits that stopped working after moving to dubai

this might be specific to indian women in UAE but my old hair routine completely failed here.

back home i could oil heavily, wash later, tie bun, use whatever shampoo, and hair was mostly okay. here? oil + sweat makes my scalp itchy. tight bun gives front hair pain. hot showers make hair rough. and if i leave hair wet for too long, scalp feels disgusting.

so i’m unlearning a lot.

current UAE version of my routine: lighter oiling or no oil if scalp is flaky, Be Bodywise hair growth serum at night instead of oiling daily, conditioner only on lengths, Tangle Teezer for detangling, and maybe a shower filter because my hair feels coated after wash.

also doing vitamin D/ferritin check because apparently living in sunny Dubai doesn’t mean you have vitamin D lol.

any other indian haircare habits that just don’t work here?

launched a SaaS that turns local files into AI context. having a nightmare choosing between B2C and B2B pricing

spent the last few months developing linkly ai to solve the local context problem. it connects scattered folders, PDFs, and team markdown files directly to LLMs so people don't have to copy paste data into prompts anymore. the product is live now and the tech works smoothly.

it serves two distinct setups right now. individuals use it to index personal notes for tools like claude, and small teams use it as a shared internal documentation library.

my real issue is the go-to-market path, but maybe the deeper question is whether this problem is painful enough for people to actually pay for. i’m trying to figure out how to validate willingness to pay before going all in on either consumer subscriptions or B2B team sales. curious if anyone here has a good framework or method for testing this early.

Why I Still Bets Mbappe on the Golden Boot (ChatGPT Agrees with My Choice)

While the Ballon d'Or is considered more prestigious in this tournament, I personally believe the Golden Boot better reflects a player's finishing ability and ability to capitalize on opportunities, a crucial criterion for judging a top striker.

Mbappe is definitely the strongest contender for the Golden Boot! Here's why:

  1. France Will At Least Reach the Quarter-Finals,France has a deep squad, enough to sustain their progress. They have at least 4-5 more matches.

  2. France's Tactical Setup Makes it Less Likely to Distribute the Ball,In the previous matches, it's been like the NBA adage, "Give the ball to Jordan." France has concentrated the responsibility of scoring on Mbappe, a tactic highly advantageous for his individual goalscoring.

  3. The knockout stage is his comfort zone.Mbappé truly shines in the knockout stage, like a fully-formed Ninja Turtle. He scored twice to eliminate Argentina in the 2018 Round of 16 and then unleashed a stunning long-range goal in the final to help France win the title.

Will Mbappé miss out on the Golden Boot?

If France is eliminated in the Round of 16, or if Messi, Haaland, and Vinicius continue to score—btw, this is something I don't want to happen, but it has, and all I can say is, "It wasn't meant to be".

Interestingly, when I asked ChatGPT to analyze the Golden Boot winner based on player performance, match schedule, and team strength, it told me Mbappé only had about a 35% chance of winning. Sometimes I have to wonder if there's something wrong with their algorithm. I've seen at least six large AI models on Sport Eval AI supporting my idea, while the remaining large models (Gemini, Kimi, Qwen) believe Messi is the ultimate Golden Boot winner.

What's your prediction? Who will be the top scorer?

I can't clear Fantina/Maylene Split (RenPlat pChal version)

It's honestly just a skill issue/lazy planning but goddamn I haven't even seen what Maylene's gym looks like at this point 😭 the few times I sit my ass down and actually plan a fight I get my ass beat by some random trainer that I didn't check the docs for and wipe randomly

This isn't an asking for advice post I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually but holy shit I'm bad 😭

This is mostly a question about how the Poke Radar works and if it's possible to use repel manip with it.

I'm Nuzlocking Renegade Platinum and saw that the only mons that appear as lvl 6 on Route 202 are Poochyena and Growlithe. I also saw that the Poke Radar encounter table has Houndoor at level 6. I tried to repel manip to get either Poochyena or Houndoor and used the Poke Radar after repelling to generate an encounter.

Imagine my surprise when a level 5 Sentret showed up. I did everything right (lvl 6 mon as the lead, repelled before the encounter). Does the Poke Radar just draw from the encounter table irregardless of Repels?
