A modern atheist travels back to the time of Jesus to disprove Christianity, only to find himself wrestling with faith instead.

I'm asking because I've written a novel based on this idea and was wondering whether it's a premise that would appeal to Christian readers.

Every now and then, I find myself thinking about a strange possibility.

What if our reality is a kind of game not in the sense that it's fake, but in the sense that it's being experienced by beings far beyond us?

Imagine a realm where these higher beings exist. Instead of watching movies or playing video games, they experience entire human lives. Each one chooses a person and lives through them from birth to death.

For us, it's a lifetime.

For them, it's a playthrough.

They feel our victories, heartbreaks, fears, ambitions, and regrets. They don't control every choice, but they experience the consequences of those choices through us.

When a life ends, they return to wherever they came from. Then they choose another life another story, another family, another era, another set of challenges.

Maybe some choose easy lives. Maybe others choose difficult ones for the experience. Maybe every person you've ever met is being experienced by a different player.

I'm not claiming this is true. It's just one of those ideas that makes me look at life differently.
