recipe from sally's baking addiction. she used regular oreos to make hers but since the only ones i had in my pantry were mocha-flavored sandwich cookies, i decided to make my brownies mocha-flavored as well by adding some espresso powder to the brownies and the buttercream.
i feel like this might be controversial, but i was hoping there might be people who kind of feel the same way. for me, if a kdrama starts off with the ml and fl together, i feel less inclined to watch it. even if i end up giving it a try, i usually drop it.
an example is flower of evil. i might get flamed a bit cause i know it's a well-loved drama and there's more to the story than just the romance but i can't help feeling that way. even if the chemistry is there, i don't see it.
there's another drama coming out with ahn eunjin and seo kang joon and i like both the actors, but knowing that the kdrama starts off with them already in a relationship puts me off. i might still give it a try though idk.
the bonafide killer also has a married fl who's in love with her husband (which is great obviously yay for both of them) but i just didn't feel anything nor could i care less when they were being lovey-dovey with each other. i don't think that's normal lol but i just don't like it when there's no romantic development to look forward to, no tension between the leads, no holding back and then giving in, etc. anyone else who feels the same way?
i know music and everything associated with it is subjective, and people can have positive or negative opinions about the songs, groups, and idols. but i believe there are some opinions that are irrefutable, and one of those is Evan being a great performer.
his debut was okay for me. i like both of the songs but ride or die as a title track is not the strongest. i'm also not a big fan of the choreography. it seems like an afterthought and it doesn't fit well with the song, which is why it makes the performance look a bit stiff and awkward as well.
but using that to prove that he's just not a good performer in general is just wrong, because he was one of the best when he was in enhypen. yes, all of the members are great performers, but Evan was the one that made me tune into the group and eventually become a fan because of how he stood out due to his stage presence. i strictly believe his recent choreography is doing him a disservice. yes, he does need to work on adjusting the power with which he dances, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he is a great dancer and performer.
edit: just noticed i forgot to add 'a' before 'bad performer' in the title and it's annoying me that i can't edit it
i came across a video on tiktok of Martin working on lyrics for a song. he was just stringing together words that fit or rhymed, and making random noises that went with the melody. i was like interesting and then opened the comments to see fans losing their minds. they were listing all the synonyms for talented in there and talking about how how much of a genius he was.
no hate to any of them. i like a couple of their songs too. they're good performers. but how does hooting and hollering in a mic equal to being talented and a genius??? the bar is so low that you have fans praising idols for doing the bare minimum when it comes to participating in the making of their music, regardless of whether it actually sounds good or not.
my skin has been burning everytime i put just moisturizer on and i can't figure out why.
in the am i use thayer's toner, the ordinary azelaic acid, and biore sunscreen moisturizer. no burning happens here.
in the pm i alternate between toner, tretinoin, and neutrogena ultra gentle moisturizer and toner, boj retinal eye serum, and moisturizer. minor burning sometimes after using either toner or moisturizer, but it fades quickly.
on the nights when i use just toner and moisturizer, however, my skin burns a lot for like a minute or so before fading away. my skin doesn't get red or look inflamed, but i can't figure out why the burning is happening, especially on my "rest" nights. this has been going on for a few weeks now.
should i start using a barrier cream? i've been using tret for months now and this problem only started recently. i don't even use too many actives, which sometimes explain why the skin is irritated. any help would be appreciated!
recipe is by sugar spun run. it didn't originally include chocolate chips but i don't like cookies without them so had to add a handful (or more lol). also increased the amount of kataifi used in the filling because i wanted them to be extra crispy.
