Wow, I don't feel anxious about unresponded texts anymore.

I met someone almost three months ago. We met (in person) while he's on holiday in my country. He has been to many countries since, but we kept talking. I feel like I'm being introduced to a new pattern (in my brain).

Since the beginning, he's been a slow texter. The first time I chatted with him on Instagram, it took him hours to respond.

Throughout his travels, he would SOMETIMES leave me unanswered for 2 days max. I had other guys who would talk to me everyday, make fantasies, but it all led to nothing. Even a joke of an ex who I was with for 1 month who was intense, said "I love you" but left me.

So this isn't a case of someone texting me constantly from day 1, then dipped. Because we met in person, I got used to his texting pattern. I realized I also don't need to respond too quickly just to feel secure in the connection. Sometimes, I genuinely don't have anything to say because im too tired, etc. I got to focus on my day-to-day that when I finally do respond to him, I have a lot to talk about. I get excited when I get to say something interesting.

He doesn't make big promises or make fantasies. We talked about meeting in Europe in the fall where he expressed his desire to meet me there. Unfortunately, he has to find a job back home and I'm allowing myself to sit in this uncertainty. And he's also been open about that. He's just...warm and present..and slow (in a good way).

Regardless of whether he wants a relationship or not, it's the first time I felt truly grounded in my body. I tell myself, "I was okay before him, around him, and I will be without him." Of course, I'm not 100% in the clear and I think about him a lot, and I wonder what he's doing.

But I'm not panicking anymore. I eat and sleep well.

Crazy how one person can change things for you.

At this point, I just want to hire a private chef.

I literally feel so burnt out. Sometimes I don't have the energy to cook/eat because that means I would have to wash the dishes. I do enjoy cooking and eating good, but at this point I'm willing to outsource to someone else. I'm not really a huge fan of those meal plan services because I find them bland. Is there anyone who knows a private chef and how much would it cost me?

Best frying pans for induction cookers? Have a problem with my pan.

I have an issue when it comes to cooking (frying specifically), it doesn't cook on the center. So when im frying, say, a chicken, I have to put them the corners of the pan otherwise it will stick in the center. The pan I use something is a ceramic non-stick pan from Anko. Not sure if my pan is uneven, or it's an induction issue.

I like him but he's only a tourist

Filipina here.

In a rare turn of events, my (guy) friend and I met a nice British man on a bar. Everything was wholesome and we chatted him up. All 3 of us decided to move to a different bar where we just talked a bunch of stuff. In those hours, we learned that we (Brit guy and I) have a lot in common. We also ended up sharing our IGs. We all went our separate ways in the morning. I do found him attractive, but it was suppressed most of the time. Also because my friend talked quite a lot.

Being the concerned local citizen (and to shoot a shot) that I am, I messaged him hoping that he went back safely. He responded with thanks and yada yada. I genuinely thought he was cute, so I replied saying I thought he was cute. Sorry, it had to be said. I was so scared to send it because I didn't want him to think I was a weirdo. He replied, "Well, the truth is I think you are cute too." I thought I looked good that night too. Anyway, in Tagalog terms, let's just say I got kilig!!

I was trying to be asked out and he did. So, we ended up going on a date this week. Funny, we ended up arriving at the same time. I was so nervous prior and when I met him again, I could tell that he was too. When I meet guys on dating apps, I don't feel nerves. This one felt different.

We got some light dinner then went to a couple of bars. Overall, we had very interesting conversations. Of course, we flirted and kissed but he was not excessively sexual to the point of discomfort. He was kind, a good listener, and comfortable to be around (although slightly awkward at first hehe).

I think you might know where I'm going with this. Unfortunately he won't be in this country for a long time. Going out with someone like him was a refreshing experience––especially we met organically.

Have you ever stayed in touch with a local during your temporary stay here? And made her a partner? I want to stay grounded and realistic. But as a human with feelings, I find myself giddy and thinking about him.

Before a lot of assume anything about me: I am a woman who lives in Makati CBD who makes her own money and I'm not after his. I hate that I have to say that. I know most of y'all had bad experiences, sorry to hear. Don't project that onto me. My aim was just to make an appreciation post about someone and wonder about possibilities.

I've been working on getting my voice right since I live alone now lol. Would love some feedback!

I've never really gotten real feedback from my voice. I've been the opportunity of living alone to improve my vocals and my control.

A few weeks ago I went out to a party after a few years. I don't go clubbing that much, but when I do I always have the best time. As someone who just lives for music and dancing, the club is the place to be! Cause that's just how I see it: a place to dance to music. It's fun to just let your guard down even for a night.

Of course, be cautious of who you meet, how you act, and it is not a place for cheating if you're partnered. But I think people who judge people (especially WOMEN) who go to clubs either don't have experience with it or are extremely introverted. Which is funny, because I consider myself to be an introvert myself.

But yes, CLUBBING IS FUN!
