I have a friend that everytime he hears about encryption and privacy, laughs and says something like “you are naive if you think companies don’t have backdoors to read encrypted messages in case the government needs to”. He is referring to signal, whatsapp, proton, ente (everything with e2ee).

He is in the army. I never know how to give an argument. Can someone give me ideas on how to discuss this encryption subject with someone like him?

I have a macbook pro 15 2015 and i tried to install ubuntu but i could not use it because it was giving a lot of errors that my ssd is failing. I don’t have details because it as a few months ago.

After that i installed fedora and it works almost very good (bluetooth and network do not start sometimes but i solve it with a restart), but there is no error. I can read and write everything just fine.

Q: at this point i don’t know if the ssd is failing or not. Why does ubuntu detect this but fedora does not?

I need to rip the entire playlist, not one song by one because i have 2000 songs. I did not find on fmhy anything. Do you know any tool for this?

I would not pay 100usd for gta6, but i would pay 100usd for warcraft 4 that covers the WoW story and maybe more than that + new playable races.

If blizzard cares for profit only, and they do make money with WoW, why not also make some money with a new game? Money is money.
