Decided to change my front brake pads myself. Did one side and it went great. Did the other side and stupidly over-torqued the bolt that holds the brake caliper housing in place when I was finishing up. The top part snapped off, leaving the threaded portion stuck.
My questions:
What’s the best way to fix this?
Do I need a tow to the mechanic?
Any other advice?
Bought a cheap lot of contemporary counterfeits, including this lead fake of a 2005 20p.
I’m amazed that anyone would bother making a fake of such a low-value coin.
Trying to nail down where this coin is from. Maximum diameter is 23.5 mm. Also curious if anyone recognizes the counter mark on the obverse/knows its significance?
Has anyone had an interaction where they talked to someone who did a bad parking job and got them to explain why they parked that way? If so, what happened?
I get that it doesn’t happen often but I’m so curious what these people say when they have to explain themselves. I have trouble imaging a legit excuse.
Once, a woman parked her minivan crooked so that the back was inches away from my car. I walked up to my car as she was getting out. She realized that she had screwed up because she said “I didn’t think you would need to back out anytime soon.”
I had a cover on my car at the time to keep it clean, which I guess she took to mean it was being stored long-term. She offered to move but I told her it was better for her to stay put and I maneuvered my way out.
Posted last week about winning a lot with a Constantine II camp plan issue. The coins arrived today and after in-hand inspection and a soak in acetone, I can say that this is the real deal!
The obverse looks a little soft compared to the reverse, but with some (very careful) cleaning, I think it’ll look great. And ACS shows that uglier coins of this type have sold for much more than I paid for the whole lot.
Anyone see why I pounced on it?
These came in a lot with some ancients. They could be Mughal or from the Indian Princely states but I know very little about those so asking here.

I recently picked up this Iraqi 100 Dinars from 1991 on eBay.
Since it only cost $1.50, I figured it was probably fake. But then I read that this denomination was the subject of extensive counterfeiting at the time of the Gulf War, reportedly as an act of economic sabotage against Saddam and his government, per this old NYT article.
Is there any guide or source that explains how to tell the difference between these fakes and the real notes?
I’d been looking for the 1000 RM for awhile and finally found a decent example for a reasonable price. The same seller had the 200 Karbowanez so I picked it up as well.
Gotta pick up those harder-to-find high denomination notes when they come up!
Sent a large priority mail flat rate box from Washington DC to Hawaii. I’ve done this before, and ironically, it’s never taken more than two days to get there.
This time is different. Expected delivery was the 20th. By that point, it had only made it to San Francisco. Now, it’s apparently on a tour of the Bay Area (SF to Oakland to San Jose). I hope the next scan isn’t Fremont, CA (where they put packages on a barge that takes at least three weeks to get to HI).

I have a 2015 Yaris hatchback and noticed that there are a couple of rust spots like this on one of the doors. It’s nothing to lose your mind over.
Still, I’d love to know: What are the best DIY treatments for this? It would be great to treat/remove/seal to preserve the car.
