I have a desk upstairs in a cubicle, but this is so much better.
Starting today, Community College of Baltimore County is offering free access to its pools this summer, providing community members with designated swim hours at the Catonsville, Dundalk and Essex campuses from June 22, 2026 - August 20, 2026.
This initiative reflects CCBC’s commitment to providing accessible, welcoming spaces for the community.
Pool hours for each campus are as follows:
While there is no fee to swim, swimmers must complete an online waiver and obtain a CCBC OneCard prior to entering the pool. Community members are encouraged to complete the waiver in advance to allow time for processing.
Pools will operate in accordance with established safety guidelines, with certified lifeguards on duty and staff available to assist with check-in.
“We are pleased to offer this opportunity to our communities,” said CCBC President Sandra Kurtinitis. “Following a successful pilot at CCBC Essex last summer, we are expanding access to include our three campuses to better serve our neighbors and strengthen community connections.”
Baltimore County Executive Kathy Klausmeier echoed the significance of CCBC expanding pool access for county residents.
“Access to safe places to stay active and cool off during the summer is important for our families and communities,” said Klausmeier. “By offering free access to these pools, CCBC is giving more children, families and seniors the opportunity to swim, exercise and spend time together close to home. I want to thank CCBC for making these facilities available and expanding access to resources that help keep our communities healthy, connected and active through the summer.”

The enabling law for school zone speed cameras (MD Transportation Article §21–809) states that:
(b)(1)(ix) A speed monitoring system in a school zone may operate only Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Note: The state code does not dictate which dates the school zone cameras can operate. So, jurisdictions may choose to operate their school zone cameras in the summer if they have summer programming (ESY, head-start, daycare) at the schools, or to protect pedestrians accessing the school's fields or playgrounds.

This was last night in Setauket, NY. A water pipe directly behind the cabinets burst, 2 inch water line. The water got into the larger cabinet in the back as well as the charging cabinet itself, with water pouring down the inside of the screen, and the charger noise doubled and became very high pitched. It never stopped charging.

Thankfully FDNY helped me out. EVgo did not. Couldn't even shut off the chargers. Has this happened to anyone before? Any ideas on damages? My car is making some funny noises so I have to bring it in for assessment.

FYI, employees from the Target next to it said this has been going on for 2 months. Pretty much a brand new location. Avoid if you're in the area.
