Paid full balance amount but still Sim locked
Need help understanding AT&T SIM lock situation on old iPhone
I previously had AT&T service, but recently switched to Verizon and changed phones. I still have my old iPhone, and under Settings > General > About it says “SIM Locked.”
I contacted AT&T to unlock it, but they told me that the account has an unpaid balance. I have showed my bills which shows fully paid and zero balance n now They said there is a different number associated with it which has unpaid balance and they cannot disclose the number/account details to me.
Tired of their customer service, now after these calls they are not even connecting me to tech support.
Recently sent my phone to brother in home country. I should have unlocked it just after paying my bills, did a mistake. I thought they will be automatically unlocked after payment. Didnt check.
