A summer afternoon playing Sword Wierdos with friends. It's a fantasy miniature-agnostic game that lets you quickly assemble a warband and play it right away in a small space. The rules are just a few pages (it's a small A5 zine!) that we all learn to play together the same day and started right away. Really... look at the mini, and those equip and class are the weight in the warband. To play it, we used a "battle-system" kit and paper miniatures we designed. Do you have any other rules-light games to suggest? Perhaps one based on squares-grid, the holidays are near and I have a lot of combat grid never used.
