Don’t buy this junk

Figured I’d try to save someone else the frustration. If you’ve got a 94-97 Accord (I think some Preludes use these also), don’t buy these Dorman exterior door handles. They fit like complete garbage. The originals were metal, the Dorman is cheap plastic. Get a used one from the junkyard and paint it to match.

I may have a problem…

The scary part is I’ve been buying from RockAuto for 10+ years and I didn’t start keeping the magnets till maybe three years ago…

1964 Skylark Project

After a long winter, finally getting back to this thing. Hoping to have it completely in primer and ready to be painted by end of summer. Not going for perfect, just a driver, something to take to cruise nights around town. 1964 Buick Skylark, bought it as a roller. Want to keep a mostly stock appearance Engine is a 1972 Buick 350 with all kinda good hot rod stuff. Trans is undecided but leaning toward a Muncie or a Tremec TKX… that’s a decision for later.

Rude Professor/Borderline Unethical?

I took Differential Equations this past semester. I scored very highly throughout the class. First exam, I got a 99.5%, second I got a 99%. Unfortunately, despite studying, I got a 79.5% on the final. Not as good as I’d like, but not a terrible grade, and my final overall grade is an A for the class.

However, I ran into the professor in the hall 2 days after the test after having seen my score online, and he said “Did you just not study or something?” I replied, “no I actually did. I was a bit surprised at my grade, I thought I did a bit better than what I scored.” He replied “yeah well I don’t know what you did, but you were just wayyy off on several of the problems.” I started to describe one of the problems that I struggled with and he interrupted me and said “I have to go, I have exams to grade.” He didn’t even give me the opportunity to ask to meet to review the exam.

Then, when talking to some other students who are in the same class, and asking how they did on their exams, I mentioned I didn’t do as well as I’d hoped and they said “yeah, we heard.” I said “what do you mean?” They said, “we talked to Dr. XXXXX and he mentioned a particular male student who usually does very well and sits near the front of the room didn’t do very well on the exam.”

He didn’t mention me by name, but it’s very obvious he implying this person was me.

This whole situation has me kind of irritated. It just seems highly inappropriate and extremely unprofessional. I don’t know if I just suck it up and ignore it, or try to discuss this with someone. I’d honestly like to see the exam and see where I went wrong, but the behavior of this professor is so unprofessional I hardly want to be in the same room with him. Advice?

1964 Buick Skylark. Been a resto project for a few years. Not a frame off, definitely not looking for a show car, just looking for something to cruise around in and have fun with, take to some cruise nights. I’ve welded up a bunch of the floors, repaired the rear window channel and windshield channel, fixed the right rear quarter. Still got some pinholes on the drivers quarter. Haven’t touched the car since before winter. Now the weather is warm and I want to get rolling on it. Where would you pick up on this thing?

Hey Lowes Crew. Former employee checking in. Worked in lumber and building materials and later in delivery/receiving as the order puller for flatbed deliveries.

It was an okay job for a while and I had some great coworkers, but they will work you to the bone once they realize you are a hard worker. Both roles were extremely physically demanding and I was constantly lifting heavy items on my own and walking 15k+ steps a day. I left Lowe’s in July of 2021.

From the looks of it nothing has changed significantly since I left. Marvin is still a slave driver who “appreciates all of your efforts and hard work”. Hank and AP4ME is still a thing. Did you do your Lowe’s University? People are still smashing into stuff with the Star Wars. Everyone needs help in the board cutting area and there’s a code 50 every 8 seconds.

I miss it in some ways but I don’t think I could go back to retail at this point.

NOS CD Accord wood grain console trim. I really like how it looks. Fits the 90s vibe. It has a couple small cracks visible but not too noticeable. Unfortunately it’s extremely brittle from age so I really hope I never have to take it out again because if I do I worry it might not make it out in one piece. But for now, I love it!

Found on Facebook Marketplace. NOS, in the box. Has a small crack but hardly noticeable. Can’t wait to get it installed!
