What is a "Good" Mask Seal?

I'm currently using a Resmed Airsense 11 APAP machine and an N30i Airtouch nasal mask. When I look at the sleep report on my machine, it tells me that my mask seal was good last night, but the ResMed app tells me to adjust the mask fit.

Which report am I supposed to follow here?

Dealership wants $500CAD to change spark plugs 2019 Niro PHEV

Had my 2019 Niro PHEV in for maintenance today and they offered to change my spark plugs as I'm nearing the 100k km mark. Quoted at $500CAD for 4 spark plugs. WTF!!!

Can anyone explain this to me? I watched YT video showing the process. The air cleaner and engine cover have to come off to access the plugs but otherwise it's not at all complicated.

I may just buy the plugs and do it myself and save $400. Yikes. 😬🙄

Discrepancy iea between Airsense 11 machine data and Resmed My Air app

Is anyone else seeing discrepancies in your sleep data between your Resmed machine and MyAir app?

My Airsense 11 shows 4.6 AHI last night by MyAir app reports 3.4AHI. Leak rates are likewise 43l/min on the machine and 51.6l/min on the app.

Noticed this after the latest MyAir update.

Edit: Just imported my data into Oscar and it is, not surprisingly, giving me the same data as the Airsense 11. Does the My Air app calculate results differently?

Recommendations for Stud Finder that can scan through 2 layers of drywall?

Hi folks. I need to build some shelves in my garage and want to anchor them to the studs. The wall in question has 2 layers of drywall on it, and my old, cheap stud finder is struggling.

Can anyone point me towards a sub-$50 stud finder that can scan reliably through 1-1.25" of drywall?

MSI MAG x870e Tomahawk USB ports always powered on.

For the life of me I cannot get the USB ports on this mobo to power down when I shut the PC off. My audio interface is USB powered and so always on 24/7.

I've gone into Device Manager to allow the computer to turn off the ports. I cannot find a BIOS entry for this issue.

Any suggestions?

Recommendations for cushions to revive recliner?

Hi folks. I've got chronic intercostal nerve pain on one side from breastbone to shoulder blade, which makes chairs very much not my friends. My one solace at home has been a recliner my wife bought for me about 9 years ago, but as you might guess, the padding in the back, seat and leg rest areas of the chair have been flattened through use and time.

I'm hoping to find cushions/pads that I can add to the chair to get a bit more life out of it as a new one just isn't in the cards at the moment. I'd much prefer to go out and test these things but I usually don't get more than one test sit in before my back gives out on me. If anyone has any recommendations or experiences they can share, I'd be grateful.

BIOS set to wake via PC but no joy

I've recently built a new PC with an MSI Mag X870E Tomahawk mobo and a Ryzen 9900X CPU. All good but there is a glitch in the Wake from Sleep settings. In the BIOS, if I set the Wake function to "wake by OS", the keyboard and mouse will not wake the PC. If I set the BIOS to "wake from BIOS" and enable wake by USB devices, the mouse and keyboard will wake the PC.

This is not a hill for me to die on since I can use the wake from BIOS option, but I'm confused as to why the wake by OS option doesn't work. In Win11 device settings, both the keyboard and mouse have the "this device can wake the PC" box checked.

If anyone has an explanation for this odd behaviour, I'd love to hear it. TIA.

B580 out of stock almost everywhere in Canada?

Is something going on with Intel Arc GPUs? I've looked on BestBuy.ca, Newegg.ca and CanadaComputers.com and there may be a single in stock listing for the B580 and it's listed as a Clearance price.

In Intel prepping to launch a new GPU or is the B series just done?

Good Entry Level MIDI Controller

Hi folks. I'm considering getting back into music production and have to start over with kit after a nearly 20 year hiatus. I'm looking for recommendations for a decent small (25 key) midi controller that will get me started for not a lot of cash. Full sized keys would be great but I can deal with smaller keys if needs be. A few drum pads and knobs/sliders wouldn't hurt either.

I see the Arturia Minilab 3 or Microlab 3 available in my area. Good starting point or ??

Replacement High Pressure Hose for PowerPlay PJR1800 Electric PW?

Hi all. Hopefully this is the right place for my question. I own an older Powerplay branded electric pressure washer and need to replace the high pressure hose, which has an M22 fitting at the washer end and a male QC fitting at the gun end. I need a hose that will lay flat when uncoiled - the original hose is cheap and has always been crap, holding the coil shape when unspooled from the reel and tangling on everything.

Any recommendations would be great.

Your Tuesday Morning Stupid Question - Aren't All EVSE's Hard-Wire Ready if You Cut the Plug Off?

I've been trolling through the wiki articles and a few YT vids on home charging setups and there is a distinction made between hard-wired and portable EVSEs, many of which come with a 14-50 plug.

My ELI5 question is - can you not just cut the 14-50 plug off the end of the cable, strip the cable sheath back a bit and hard wire the conductors? Why would this not work?

EDIT: Thank you all so much for your informative responses! I think I've learned more about EV charging in one day here than the weeks researching on my own. There are a LOT of factors to consider, some of which I may have known about intellectually but not applied to my situation. Brilliant!

Wall mounting Strain Relief for EVSE

Hi folks. I own a Kia PHEV which came with a basic Level 1 charger for home use. We recently bought a Level 2 EVSE so we can leave the Level 1 charger at the cottage.

The issue I'm having is that the EVSE is HEAVY and until we can get a 14-50 outlet installed, we need to use the 15A adapter to plug into a standard outlet in the garage. The adapter, however has a straight plug on it, which has quite a lot of stress on it due to the weight of the EVSE and cable.

The EVSE has a single mount point on the back, suitable for hanging the unit on a nail or screw but I question its usefulness. Can anyone recommend an aftermarket cradle I could mount to the wall and slide the EVSE into? Do I need to MacGuyver something myself? Thanks in advance.
