hi all, my cousin has a galaxy s21 ultra and it's completely broken. (the main issue she's having is the sim card disconnecting, I have the same phone and it also has that issue so I'm wondering if maybe it's a problem with this specific model?) we're trying to find her a new one and she wants an upgrade but it's hard to find a budget one these days. the most important thing to her is a good camera (same quality as s21 ultra if not better) and battery life, that'll operate pretty quickly for basic things (she doesnt really use it for anything other than texting and social media). also if it doesnt have those dumb ai features that'd be great but I know they're hard to avoid nowadays. preferably samsung but if any other androids meet those specifications feel free to throw them out there. price range is definitely under $500 but preferably cheaper (around $300). it can be refurbished as long as it works lol. thanks :)

I have a few games I'm trying to run through retroarch (snes and gba games specifically) and when I boot them up through retroarch itself it works fine but when I try to boot them up as individual games through steam the controls don't work. I added them with emudeck and made sure to select the retroarch emulators from the parsing screen and when launching the game it shows that retroarch is loading it so idk. I tried Uninstalling and reinstalling retroarch and re adding the games, restarting, etc several times. thanks in advance :)

Hello everyone!! I guess I'll just introduce myself, I'm Nova (he/him), I'm 25 and ever since my old group fell apart I've been wanting a new one and stumbled across this sub. I have the most experience with dnd (both 2014 and 2024) but I've been wanting to join a coc campaign and I have some knowledge of other systems. I'm down to learn pretty much anything and I'm pretty flexible as long as you have patience lol. I'm not too picky other than what was specified in the title, but it's hard to find groups against using ai for some reason (at least where ive been looking)? Idk, if anyone is interested in a new player or has any questions I guess feel free to comment or dm lol. Thanks :)

Was just getting off of my break when I heard my manager over the intercom saying everyone needs to evacuate. Grabbed my stuff and ran up to front, there was a bunch of black smoke coming out of one of the vents. Had to go out and wait in the parking lot while we called the fire department. They were here for about a half hour, told us the air conditioner caught fire, they got it calmed down and a guy is coming to fix it later apparently. Department said it was safe to be in the building but it would smell like smoke for awhile. Store manager called the district manager and of course she says to open the store up again. Entire place smells like smoke, especially the front where the cashiers have to stand. 🫠 not only that but it's 90 degrees out and we don't have ac. Luckily my shift was almost over but they expect my coworkers to just continue with the day like nothing happened? Tf? I dont think it's safe to inhale electrical fumes for an extended period of time but what do I know I guess. 🙃

I'm writing about a character who was orphaned and grew up on the streets around crime. He's an adult now and trying to turn his life around. He doesn't have any legal documents or information about himself like a name or date of birth or even parents names. Im curious how somebody like that would go about trying to make a normal life for themselves? Sorry if this isnt the right sub it was just the first I thought of

I'm going to community college and my advisor told me job corps could help with financial aid money so obviously I went for it because I need the money. I have to go to orientation tomorrow but to be honest they havent been super communicative with me I was under the impression I was just doing all this for financial aid but from all the websites it seems like it's a full campus I have to go to? That was not made clear to me at all my advisor literally just said "it's free money" ??? Is there some other program I can't find any information on or am I actually signing up to be taking classes at this campus.
