My little brother has been struggling with addiction, and we just found out how dire it was. He has been trying to detox from opioids on his own, cold turkey, which is unimaginably hard.

We went to check on him at his apartment, and found he had been doing whippets constantly to combat his withdrawals. I convinced him to come home with me and he promised me he’d go to a treatment center the next day.

All night, and the whole car ride to detox, he was doing whippets constantly in the car with my mom and I. He went through several huge canisters. His lips were turning blue.

I am so proud of him for making the step to even detox and for agreeing to treatment, but I am feeling extremely traumatized and devastated about what I witnessed. I cannot get the image out of my head. He is my baby brother.

Any words of support or encouragement would be greatly appreciated❤️I truly don’t know how to move on from this. I’m so scared.

I’m unfortunately freaking out about getting married at North Beach clubhouse this summer, and therefore am desperately turning to Internet strangers for some reassurance :)

After what happened on Narragansett beach a couple weeks back, I’m stressed. I’m trying to rationalize that it will be 6:00 in the evening and it will not be senior skip day season, but I can’t help but picture wild crowds (and even worse, violence) happening a few feet from my wedding.

I know I chose to get married in a more public venue and expected some level of crowds, but this is next level.

Any reassurance would be greatly appreciated!!!

My fiancée and I are getting married at the north beach clubhouse in Narragansett this summer, and are looking for a location to do first look / portraits. Would love somewhere with cliff views, more private beach areas, some greenery, etc. we are pretty open. Would love to hear any recommendations! TIA!
