First time finally trying Emerald Seaglass and so far I'm loving it. The game is gorgeous and I already saw that there are quite a few changes that I'm excited about. In fact, it took me about 20 minutes to decide on my starter. Went Treecko because of the newly added dragon type.

But I'm kinda curious if there's anything else I need to know or look out for. I saw that you can change the difficulty, so I thought why not try that out and do level caps. I noticed that my rival has Torchic with speed boost which is already a pain. Is HA rival starter hard mode only? Also can I get HA from softresetting?

Just like I imagine a lot of you, I bought the switch 2 upgrade pack. And now I have my switch OLED plugged in so I can transfer the data over to my switch 2, but I was curious if there’s anything I should do before starting a NG+ run

I never did a NG+ run if 2 because I started to farm core crystals and then never continued

If it’s not too important, I might just start the run without doing much

idk what dolphin's issue lately is, but I had a problem that was due to setting up gba as p2 because I was testing something, but now the audio specifically on my games on Dolphin (Wii and GC) just won't work on my steam deck.

I can't figure out what the issue would be, in settings the audio is all the way up.

Please help

hi everyone. so lately I've been seeing a lot of kaizo national streams on TikTok and it's got me really wanting to play something similar.

I'm not looking to do a kaizo because on Mac the whole ironmon and tracker doesn't really work too well. I really just want to randomize the Pokemon, the battles, the starters, etc. like I want all the randomization of a kaizo national dex, but I'm not sure how to do that. Even just randomizing Pokemon while including everything up to current gen would be fun.

This might seem like a really stupid question, but how do I do this. basically what I'm trying to ask is, how can I play a run of FR or even Emerald but have the game randomized so I can get Pokemon like idk Volcanion or the paradox Pokemon as my starter?

I have the Universal Pokemon Randomizer and I think it's fully updated. Is there a seed I need?

About 2 weeks ago I posted here about starting EFEA and being hooked almost immediately…

Well, I couldn’t put it down except when eating, working, and leaving the house.

It was incredible. That’s really all I got. The dialogue, the gameplay, the characters, the music, the story.

A lot of paper Mario inspired games add too many mechanics when Paper Mario 64 and TTYD at their core have simple but fun gameplay. Escape from Ever After was felt like a love letter to that. Nothing was complicated.

The story and the world were familiar which is why I think the game stuck so easily. We know these children’s stories and having them brought together and fleshing out those characters in this way was perfect.

Idk where I’m landing on if it’s better than Bug Fables for me. I loved that game so much and really didn’t think a paper Mario inspired game could be as good as Bug Fables is in delivering what I’d expect and what I want.

EFEA did

I just kinda wanted to confirm because I really own only one GBA cart and the error screen is different, but everytime my brother tries a GBC game I get 1 of 3 screens:

white screen with error in red

a tinted green screen with error in green

goes from like darkened to a white screen as if the cart is loading but doesn’t start a game

Is this literally just an issue because the carts are dirty? Because they are but one game was able to work on a GBC itself and not the pocket
