I had some great success with a post yesterday so I figured I'd go ahead and try for a bit more specific/niche as well! I go to the In-Shape on Alhambra and I'm looking for a gym buddy to help keep me motivated with strength training. I currently go during the day time but do have some flexibility to go later in the day if that's what works for you. I go 3-4x a week, but I'd be plenty happy to have a workout parter that wasn't able to keep that frequent of a routine.

Additionally, I'm looking for skateboarding friends to hit up the local parks with! I'm not good at all, but I have fun, and really, that's the whole point, right?

Hello Sacramento! Married, stay at home retired house husband here. I've lived in Sacramento for almost 20 years now and one by one I've watched members of my friend group move away from the area. I still have an active social life, but I want to staunch the bleeding and start making new friends!

My primary hobby is gaming of all kinds, from board games, to PC games (less FPS, more "this game is really just a cleverly obfuscated spreadsheet"), to miniature wargaming, (WH40K to... way more obscure). I've picked up several accessory hobbies over the years from this: painting, 3D printing, foam-crafting, amateur electronics (I'm just getting started with messing around with ESP-32s chips). To round out my old-fartedness and as a means to finally start using my health insurance, I've actually taken up skateboarding after a 30 year hiatus (totally not a manifestation of a mild mid-life crisis 😝) .

I enjoy dining out at smaller hole in the wall restuarants, --we have a much better food scene than we have any right to here!--, and while my days of closing down bars at 2am are long behind me I can certainly get down with having a boozy slushy at Fieldworks or knocking back a cold one at one of our fine beer gardens.

Despite our proximity to a ton of great outdoor activities, I'm not particularly into them. I've never been one for hiking/camping/fishing, and if I'm going to be spending a day "at the river" I'm just going to have my nose buried in a book the entire time. I mostly don't follow sports, with the exception of indoor women's volleyball (so hyped that NorCal is getting a LOVB team!), but I'm definitely happy to catch the occassional River Cats or Kings game.

Politically attentive, if not active, liberal, though I don't mind having right-wing friends with non-insane views; having a difference of opinion on taxation and regulation is one thing, having a difference of opinion on say whether women should be allowed to vote, is quite another!

With the start of 11th I’m expanding my GSC gang from Necromunda into a proper 40K army. Just curious how everyone kits out their neophyte hybrids. Is there a recommended loudout or are their special/heavy weapons underwhelming to the point that they’re shippable in favor of fast rolling the whole squad?
