Air compressor for winterizing

For the entire time I've owned my camper, I've winterized it on my driveway, with a small 2 gallon air compressor.

This is the first year I have it at a seasonal spot, and will be winterizing it in place - and my 2 gallon setup was replaced with a much bigger one I can't locate down there.

I'm in New England - i need to blow out the lines. What are my options? Any battery powered small systems I can pick up and leave there? Seems overkill to buy a full air compressor with a tank for a once a year winerization when space is so limited there.

First Tag - green dial, carerra day date

I hit a certain time in my 30+ year career in tech where I just didn't want constant apple watch notifications anymore - and a year ago, I switched from the digital handcuff to a Citizens eco-drive, to test the waters with going back to an analogue watch.

I'd say it worked out - in that last year, I've picked up a custom made automatic seiko mod, a Tissot La Loche anniversary edition - and last night, a Tag Heuer Carerra day date with a green dial.

I had also tried on the twin time - having family over seas, I thought I'd enjoy having both time zones - but I really didn't like the white inner ring - it made the face look small, and as someone with big wrists, I didn't like the look.

But the day date - I think its a wonderful fit, the green is the nicest color (also looked at the blue, too dark, and the red, not to my tastes). I could have been swayed by a nice bright color, but they didn't have anything.

As a life long Formula One fan - Tag was right up there in my brand choices - glad I took the plunge!

Lily XL problems?

December '23 I bought two Lily XLs to flood the front of my house. June this year, one of them started flickering - so I retired it and bought a new one.

That new one has now died - it doesn't light up and the app shows it unresponsive - and looking at it, there's moisture in the lens.

The second (the other '23 model) is also intermittently flickering - some nights it's fine, others it flickers.

At this point, I'm wary to buy more. I love having my home flood lit - but these are expensive lights to keep replacing like this.

Any alternatives I should be looking at?

Matter failing?

I’ve had many Eve, some Aqara and IKEA matter devices in my home for months - years for some devices - and largely they’ve just worked.

Two days ago, 30 devices in my home show unresponsive - and it’s all of my matter devices from these vendors. Hue is fine, native HomeKit works fine. They’ve been down since.

I’ve switched hubs from AppleTVs (current model, hardwired) to HomePods - and back - all those are up to date too.

I can’t get them to connect. Anyone got ideas on how I can troubleshoot this one?

UPDATE: After a few reboots of the AppleTV - and a recommendation of Thread Doctor for troubleshooting- I've got the devices back. Thanks all!

2026 Hybrid Touring - which Dongar adapter?

Seems there are several of these on the market, and several videos showing different ones in use on different trims

I pick it up on Friday - but I don't think it has the digital mirror, which seems to change the story for some connectors.

My dashcam has an older USB-A connector, and I also noticed several are USB C now - but I can always swap the cable.

Any guidance?

2026 Forester Hybrid Touring

We're in the market for a new car. Replacing a 2016 Mazda CX5. Our local Mazda dealer is also a Subaru dealer - and my partner went there to look at Mazda's ... but ended up test driving a 2026 Forester Hybrid and *really* enjoying how it drove, the space ... and of course, the Touring had the features we just *had* to have - in the color my partner loves. $41k.

What kind of negotiating room is there on pricing? The dealership told us they're pretty much set on price, and wasn't a high pressure environment - but I do always wonder, of course.

We don't car shop a lot - tend to keep our vehicles until they fall apart, so we're looking forward to trying our first Subaru!

Aqara FP300 - going offline every 3 to 4 weeks

I'm getting frustrated with my Aqara FP300 Presence sensor.

I have it added to Apple Home. I have it turning on lights when presence is detected - and off when presence is gone. This works, flawlessly.

Except, every 3 to 4 weeks, it disconnects from Home, and I have to delete and re-add it. I've done this a good 1/2 dozen times over the last few months, and have no idea why it's doing it.

Battery is fine. Replaced a few times. I'm on firmware 1.0.7.3 - and it's the only Aqara device in the house, so I can't get it into the app to check if this is old or not.

I want to love this thing - I have a few areas in my home I could swap motion sensors out for this and be very happy - but I need to solve this problem, first.

Ideas?

Battery powered leak sensor?

I'm looking for a battery powered, HomeKit compatible (not hub!) leak sensor.

I have one from Fibaro in my home basement - but it seems you can't buy them on Amazon any longer.

Intended use case is in my camper, so I need battery, and I need no extra hub - I have an AppleTV out there already.

Any recommendations?

Business internet activation?

I'm setting up T Mobile service at my campsite - my intent was to have this be my modem for remote work situations in the camper. Signal in the area is fine, speeds should be good enough for video calls.

We stopped by a store, got the business internet package, and came home with a 5G modem (the TMO-G5AR)

But I can't seem to get my account activated. Everything was pointing me to the T Life app and creating an account there - until I gave it the phoen number associated with the modem - at which point it pushed me to the T Mobile hub website - where I had to create a second account? And that account now gives me "We're unable to display your account details at this time. This could be due to restrictions on your account, organization, or contact details." when I login.

The modem is broadcasting it's SSID, and I can connect to it - but no internet - so I assume I need ot get it activated somehow.

Considering it's a holiday weekend - am I out of luck until Tuesday? I assumed this was all self service - but it's looking like I need to call them?

Anyone run into this? Got ideas? 😄

I'm getting my setup for my camp site pulled together - still waiting on the Starlink itself, so I can't test this directly.

Are there any issues with the Unifi Travel Router being connected to Starlink? I'd like to broadcast my home wifi, run a Unifi camera or two at the camp with the footage being pulled back to my home network. Looks like this can do that pretty simply, but I'm not finding anyone doing it like this yet.

After some great prior feedback in here - I've pulled the trigger and have a Standard 4x on it's way, with the 200mb Residential package to use at my seasonal camp site.

I expect I'll have to set it up away from my camper, thanks to the tree coverage over my camper. Amazon has a million tripod style options that all say they are compatable with the "gen 3"

As I understand it - this "Standard 4x" is actually still the Gen 3 and should fit - but not having it in hand yet ... am I correct, or can someone recommend a different mount?
