Seed identification?

Been finding these around my yard/garden, and curious what they are? Or are they some sort of egg?

Are these peonies?

Had these pop up in a raised bed out of nowhere and they do not look like anything I have planted anywhere in the garden. I do have a sizable bunch of peonies in the front yard, but they didn’t have viable flowers this year (destroyed by a late frost). One younger plant in the back that has not bloomed in the four years I have lived here. Any thoughts?

Plant identification?

I recently added a lot of seeds to my beds for the fall (although to date I have really only gotten a few beans and small tomatoes) and really try to utilize every inch I can. Noticed this stalk coming up the other day and it doesn’t look like anything I have planted. Any thoughts on what it might be? I planted some flowers like nasturtiums and calendula and also a few okra seeds.

What is this creature?

I thought it was a moth from a distance but it’s hard shelled like a beetle

Egg identification?

Any idea what these eggs are from? Found them on a makeshift trellis for some pole beans.

Volunteer pumpkins/gourds in need of trellis?

After last Halloween we put the decorative pumpkins and gourds in the backyard for the squirrels to pick apart. We now have several pumpkins/gourds plants growing that actually seem to be doing better than almost everything else we intentionally planted. They are kind of spread out around the yard so I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for makeshift trellises for individual plants?

Sweet potato is finally sprouting vines. Is it too late to propagate the slips and try to grow them?

Wood louse spider to the rescue!

Found one of these guys in my backyard and placed it in the bed that has seen the most rolly pollies. Went right to work attacking them.

Bug Identification?

Starting to see some new insects around the raised beds and wondering if I should be concerned? First appears to be a ground beetle of some sort. Was near a pumpkin plant and beets/arugula. Second looks kind of like a leaf hopper and was on my tomatillo.

Potato and Tomato questions

Two questions here. First, regarding my potato tower, some of the branches are getting so long they are starting to tip over and lay flat. Should I be pruning the branches?

As for the tomato plant, I have an indeterminate one that has a large secondary stem and I am wondering if it should also be pruned?

Hummingbird not feeding

Bird continues to approach the tree from which the feeder is hanging. But rather than feeding, it appears to poke at the tree and occasionally perch on a nearby branch. Any reason they would do this?

Fly identification?

I’ve noticed a lot of these flies in one of my beds. Also noticed some leaf mining trails. I assume they are related? Relatively easy to catch. I fed a couple of them to spiders in the garden. Any additional recommendations on control if necessary? I am planning on putting out a lot more flower seeds than originally planned to bring in beneficial insects.

Colorado based gins?

I moved to Colorado a few years ago and brought with me a huge amount of gin/liquors. Now that I have somewhat gone through a lot of the gin I thought I would start trying out and collecting Colorado based gins. Does anyone have any recommendations?

What is eating my bean leaves?

Seems like something is eating almost exclusively the leaves of my bean plants. Some are half eaten, some totally missing the leaves and then some appear to be unscathed. I have dug around a little looking for cutworms or some other caterpillars but haven’t seen anything. Any idea what it might be?
