Upgrading plan from LR only to Photography

Hello everyone!

I found an offer for Adobe Lightroom CC | 1 User 1 Year | Including Lightroom Classic at 100€.

I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade the subscription to a photography plan during the year without loising much money or if I will be "stuck" with the purchased plan until the expiry.

If possible, the Photography plan will have the same deadline of the original LR annual plan?

I'm an amateur and I would like to have the option to upgrade the plan if needed, but at the moment LR classic is more than enough for my needs.

Cheers!

Olympus 20mm f/1.4 soft edges

Hello everyone!

Lately I'm using the 20mm f/1.4 more and...even if overall I like the rendering, I found it quite soft on the edges, especially compared to the 60mm f/2.8 macro or the 12-45mm f/4. In my opinion they have a more uniform sharpness across the frame. Now...It's not a big problem..but for its price I'm not that satisfied...

Are you experiencing something similar with the 20mm/1.4?

I didn't have time to make some test so far.

Cheers!

Compact flash for macro photography

Hello everyone!

I own an Olympus E-M5 mark III, the 60mm f2.8 and the Godox v480o.

I like the flash but it is too heavy and unconfortable to use with my camera. I also prefer to shoot single pictures, I don't usually do focus stacking.

I'm searching for a light and comfortable flash to carry around that can eventually handle small bursts of few photos.

Any suggestion?

Cheers!

Smallest bag for E-M5/OM-5

Hello everyone, I'm looking for the smallest bag available to carry my E-M5 III with the 20mm f/1.4 or the 12-45mm f/4.

I need something easy to carry around when I'm out but not specifically to take pictures. Something very confortable for short walks, when I don't want to take with me other lenses and extra stuff but just the camera.

Cheers!

Finding subjects for macro photography

Hello everyone!

I got myself a macro setup to change "point of view" and to shoot near home when I don't have much free time. At the moment I mainly take photos of flowers.

I have two problems with shooting insects:

1- It's hard to find them "posing" on leaves/flowers.

2- They never stay still (I would like to use the bracketing)

Do you have some suggestion? Are there some ethic tricks? Is there some nice video/book/whatever on the argument? What are the easiest insects to photograph?

Any suggestion is well accepted!

Cheers!

Olympus E-M5 III focus peaking while half pressing the shuitter button

Hello everyone!

I would like to keep the focus peaking working while half pressing the shutter button on my E-M5 III.

I use it for macro, shooting in MF with the following settings:

MF ON

MENU CUSTOM

- A1, AEL/AFL S2/C2/M2

- A4, MF ASSIST, ZOOM OFF, PEAK ON

- A4, MF CLUTCH ON

- C2, IMG STAB. S-IS AUTO

- C2, HALF PRESS ON

FIRMWARE (updated)

- BODY 1.7 (E-M5 III)

- LENS 1.2 (60mm/2.8 macro)

I setup the REC button to turn on and off the focus peaking. The problem is that while the peaking is on, if I half press the shutter button, it stops working. How can I solve this? I would like the peaking always on until the shutter release.

Cheers!

Macro diffuser suggestion (Europe)

Hello everyone, I found a used Godox v480 and Olympus 60mm/2.8 macro. I own a E-M5 III and I'm planning to buy an E-M1 III/OM-1 in the future.

I'm looking for a diffuser but I live in EU and I would like to avoid importing one (custom duties...).

Does anyone know some nice diffuser for sale in the EU?

Cheers!

Olympus 12-100 f/4 vs 12-45 f/4 + 40-150 f/4

Hello everyone,

I currently own an Olympus E-M5 III, a 12-45 f/4, my main lens, the 20mm f/1.4 and a 40-150 f/4-5.6 R.

I'm thinking about upgrading the latter and while I was confronting the 40-150 f/4 and the 12-100 f/4 some question came to my mind:

- how sharp is the 40-150 f/4 (no OIS) at 150mm? Is the IBIS enough?

- how sharp is the same lens compared with the 12-100mm f/4 (both at 100mm)?

I will sell the 40-150 f/4-5.6 R but I will keep the 12-45 f/4 anyway because is too good and compact.

Cheers!

Hello everyone!

I own an Olympus E-M5 III and I'm going to buy (used) the Olympus 60mm/2.8 and a Godox v480 flash.

I found a used AK diffuser, size M.

Do you think that can nicely fit my setup?

Cheers!
