From Student to Firefighter: Help Me Take My First Step
Hello, my name is Talos George and I am a high school student who has recently graduated.
The reason for this fundraiser is that I want to start working after I take my final exam. My plan is to work for online food delivery services such as Bolt Food, Uber Eats, and Glovo. For this, I need a reliable, low-cost means of transport, and I have decided that an electric bike would be the best option for deliveries.
I do own a car, but it has high fuel consumption and would not be profitable given current fuel prices.
The reason I want to work is that I do not want to be dependent on my father. I want to be able to pay for my own expenses without asking him for financial support.
I also plan to attend the Firefighter Academy next year. I want to be able to pay for a private tutor, save money for exam fees, and cover accommodation and food during the exam period. I live in a city far from where the academy is located (in the capital), so accommodation will be necessary while I am there.
I do have some savings, but they are far from enough to purchase a decent electric bike. The e-bike would also help me train my stamina for the physical exam required by the academy. Besides helping me financially in the future, it would also help me get in better shape and increase my chances of being admitted.
