Hi, nice to meet you all! My name is Emma and am a pre-vet student providing reliable and safe in home pet sitting to the pets of Woodland, CA. Although l am just starting this business officially, I've been professionally trained while employed by a local and highly regarded Pet Hotel, this experience gave me so much insight on the care of animals during boarding, and the importance of trust and client relationship.
I am insured though Pet Care Insurance, and will provide proper documents to sign upon our first complimentary meet and greet! Please shoot me a text for any questions or my availability!
The incense on my Aphrodite altar as it burned created a circle I have never seen this happen before and I figured I would share cuz I think it's interesting.
edit: I know it just means that that's how it burned and not a specific spiritual meaning or message, but its cool to think about if it has a meaning
I got a mini set of Greek amphora and pitcher from the ShadyLadyBrand on etsy, a one in stock vintage item that was made in Greece!
Absolutely stunning and figured to share!
The second picture is my Aphrodite altar using one of the amphoras as a vase.
Okay so my sweet pea has not laid her eggs. She does have a laying bin, and for the first time today I noticed her go down to the bottom of the cage but she did not go to where the laying bin was. So I moved the lay bin over to where she had climbed down in hopes that she will climb down again and realize that it's there.
I'm a little worried just because I don't know the time frame of when she should lay, because I don't know when she became gravid since they are unfertilized she's still super active walking around, eating and drinking normally, she shed a few days ago, and she's starting to show a little bit more gravid colors. How long does this process take? I've seen on Google from 1 to 2 months from becoming gravid to the day of egg laying
I honestly understand if people yell at me in the comments, and it's kind of deserved.
I'm not going to go into the reasons why I'm going through a severely traumatic time right now because that is no excuse, but I have been forgetful of taking care of my leopard gecko because I'm in a haze and just turning on the lights.
She is okay and alive And I'm changing everything today.
She came out because she saw me and she went to her water bowl and I had a realization that I forgot to fill up her water bowl for a while, like I'm not sure when I last filled it.
It couldn't have been that long ago but the fact that I'm not sure terrifies me because everything since the beginning of February is just a cloud in my memory.
I feel absolutely heartbroken for her, she began drinking right away And drank a little while too
I'm so mad at myself because I want to be an exotic vet and I broke my biggest moral code and I am just shattered.
I literally have access to a DVM that can see leopard gecko because I literally work at a vet hospital, And I'm so furious at myself bc I haven't asked for help.
She seems to be resting right now, she keeps going to sleep a little bit while standing, but if I move she wakes up so she's still responsive.
And her body condition score seems to be healthy, her eyes not sunken in I don't think at least.
The top part of her tongue is a little reddish, but I've read that that's normal when there's water because of increased blood flow
She seems okay but I feel absolutely terrible, and I need help. And I want to know if anyone else has struggled with this because I feel so alone and terrible. Pictures are in the comments because I wasn't able to attach them. Please tell me if she looks okay
I caught this picture of Sweet Pea basking in a very odd position with her front legs after I snapped the picture, she moved positions she doesn't have any symptoms of MBD, have you caught your chameleon with this position or is this just a sweet pea thing?
I've been sitting at a desk but have been taking breaks walking around, this morning my feet felt really tight and uncomfortable and then I got up from my desk and I could barely even stand, such such bad nerve pain and I'm having white/ purpleish/red spotting on my feet,
Still painful when I'm laying down there's ongoing slight throbbing, and There's a few spots on my feet that feel numb
21F, Ehlers-Danlos, dysautonomia, Reynolds, POTS
(, I do realize this may just be a Reynolds flare but I've never had it like this and so incapacitating)
I get weekly Iv saline hydration at the infusion clinic, and I couldn't make last appointment, in 2 days I have my next one but it's been 2 weeks since I've had it last
She now has a super low hanging stomach, I have confirmed that she is likely gravid with my other post but I've not seen her stomach so low
Additionally, I just put up a cover on the front side of her cage where most stimuli happens. I left the sides uncovered so I could still check in on her
Okay, I've had my girl for 9 months, I don't have a birth date, but she was a younger juvenile when I got her.
She has not laid eggs while I've had her, I do have a lay bin (picture 1)
She's never gone to it, she did visit the bottom of the enclosure a few times before I got the Laybin and she hasn't came down since.
At night time she is super happy, and falls asleep right away And going super vibrant green.
During the daytime she's very dull and a lot more reclusive.
I will say I do need to get more plants in my enclosure,
Pic 4 is what her enclosure looks like right now during the daytime, and you can tell pea is a lot more reclusive and hunkered down
Do you think she's gravid? Can you tell by the pictures of her abdomen?
Is there anything I should be doing differently
Advice?! First time cham owner and first female cham,
I've been so good with research and care, she genuinely in my opinion she's well taken care of but there's definitely things I can improve

Heat lamp /basking spot that I need ro get a hotter bulb and lower the basking Branch cuz it is relatively close to the top of the tank.
Auto misters scheduled every 12 hours for 60 seconds
All live plants, Manzanita branches
Feeding info
4 to 5 medium crickets, 2-3x a week.
Dusted with calcium no vit d
She gets a multivitamin dusting once a month
She has recently increased her chomps on the pothos plants and we'll eat a decent amount of foliage
She is on the repti breeze stand so she is higher, but I very rarely handle her. I just watched from a distance, because that seems to be what she's more comfortable with.
Owner info lmafo
I work at a vet hospital and she does get seen there by a doctor who can see reptiles, but he isn't a specialist or focused, just more seeing her on a wellness basis and monitoring supplementation/ bone density
I'm hoping to become a veterinarian with a focus in reptiles and exotics, all this to say I really want to do good by my Sweet Pea and change so she can thrive
I just want to check if I'm doing everything I can to make her feel more secure if she is gravid, and if I am not please tell me so I can make that adjustment, I have the financial means so don't hesitate to tell me if I need to buy something specific to help her
Thank you so so much everyone, and apologies for the long essay
