Basically am going clubbing friday night and idk what to wear cuz im usually a jeans and band tee kinda girl, but im planning on wearing playform wedges and a mini skirt and idk what kinda top to wear, suggestions please!!!! (No scenecore though, only aithentic scene!!)

Okay first things first i am not naming it by name but its ‘luxury’ hotel located in the midlands and by god is luxuy a stretch

This post is a warning to anyone who might get their listing on indeed, see luxury hotel and think ‘wow id love to work there’ dont, dont be an idiot like me and think luxury = respect

I started there just before i did my leaving cert and i made sure to tell them i can only work 2 shifts before i have to stop for my leaving cert, plus i feel like every person in this country knows when the LC is happening no matter what age you are, so i was scheduled to work 4 shifts during days i had exams, obviously told them i couldnt attend and was written up about it.
That should have been my first major red flag but also i thibk the biggest was that my entire department had new staff because all the old staff had run for the hills, my supervisor had literally started three weeks before me with no prior hotel experience (yikes) so we were all blind leading the blind

You will not be trained in this job at all and i dont thibk thats fair, how can you hire people with no prior experience on their cv and then get pissed when they dont know what to do, i was screamed at during service one evening as i didnt know what to do despite it being my first wedding service ever (i had only worked morning shifts before hand)

Also the hotel is just gross, our department was practically run by teenage girls (and some lads but mostly girls) and trust we did not gaf, birds got into the ballroom constantly and shit everywhere, moldy fruit was left behind the bar, cutlery piled up and plates were offen poorly washed resulting in them having to be rewashed, one time a cat came into the ballroom???? Moldy cups of coffee were left in storage areas, just nasty

Managers played favorties constantly eg i have my lips pierced but always wore clear retainers in them whilst at work, i also put plasters over ear piercings but i would still get given out to, then other coworkers would have nose studs and ear stacks and have nothing said to them

Hours were scarce and cut constantly and if you asked to move to a different department withon the hotel you received a very angry email from HR

Management were lowkey incompetent and spent most of the time chatting at the bar or messing with staff

We only recieved 30 minute breaks on 9 hour shifts

You also cant have any form of self expression eg if you wanted to dye your hair on your day off you werent allowed, want another piercing on your day off? Not happening, another tattoo? In your dreams

Also not the hotels fault but worth mentioning that some guests would ask underage staff members for their phone numbers and shit SO fucking weird!

The staff area/ break room always smelt like hot damp mold and the elevator would often break down
Hours are really unsociable such as working 4pm to 11pm on a Saturday night or 3pm to 3am etc etc

No air con in the summer (eg when we had the hear wave) so working conditions were pretty sweaty and shitty

Dont get me wrong alot of the girls i worked with were lovely and helpful but also a shit place to work is a shift place to work :/

Ps if you know/ think u know the place im talking about pls dont comment it as i dont want people to know where i live LMAO

Thank god cuz that job was making me suicidal but also now im poor also will i get sued if i start telling people on the internet about the shithole i was fired from

Im 18 and work in an upscale hotel doing weddings, i wasnt trained when i was given the job just expected to figure it all out on my own, my coworkers arent easy to talk to and my manager isnt nice to work with, im meant to be serving tomorrow night for the first time and im terrified, ive spent the past week thinking about work, sick to my stomach and terrified with the thought of it, ive begged my mom to let me quit and find something else but she said im not allowed to quit until i have a replac job sorted, my mental health has gone down the drain and im just depressed and anxious all the time, even on medication, i dont know what to do i just want it to be all over :(

I own 2 ipods, a touch 4th gen and a nano 3rd gen, i used to take my nano to school all the time bc we werent allowed phones so i hsed it as a clock, i also use it alot in my car as i drive a shitbox that only supports aux and cds, ive always wondered do other people brijg their ipods out, do you leave your phone at home? Does it feel weird to carry both? I always feel weird HAHA

Im not diagnosed so just a warning, i havent been diagnosed but have been struggling with intrusive thoughts, am on anxiety meds (sertraline + xanax) it doesnt belp, i watched a lot of true crime today (stupid ik) and suddenly got the thought ‘you’re gonna hurt your brother this weekend’ then immediately got washed with dread and wanted to vomit, i feel vile and depraved but i dont know what to do, im scared ill actially do it, please help

Pretty much i work in a hotel in conferences and banquetting, im pretty emo so i have my ear lobes (fake gauges) my industrial and my snake bites pierced, i wear clear retainers in my snake bites and my gauges ste small, onviosuly the industrial is quite noticable (but i literally cant remove that shit im not even kidding its STUCK), i was working on saturday and my manager told me that i needed to remove them, even with the clear retainers in, i told her I couldnt remove my industrial so she suggested a plaster over jt (which i said of course too), i had my snakebites in during the interview and nothing was said so i didnt think it would be an issue, i was planning on getting my monroe pierced soon but now i feel as if im not allowed, alot of girls have nose piercings or ear stacks but have had nothing said to them, my supervisor literally has her industrial pierced as well, also i personally think looking at some clear flat tops underneath my lips is a lot more appealing than two red holes when theres no jewlwry in

Is this fair or allowed??? Cuz i feel like i cant do anything with myself anymore in this job (cant dye my hair, get more tattoos, piercings etc) its really frustrating because obviously i need money but i also want to be myself

Im not diagnosed with OCD but ive struggled with intrusive thoughts my entire life, i tried to get a diagnosis from my therapist but she basically just told me i was making it all up etc etc im on anxiety medication but it hasnt been helpinh
Pretty much ive consumed alot of true crime media recelty idk why but mu tiktok fyp has been flooded with it and i cant not watch no matter how hard i try and now im worried i want to do something like that :( i feel like i can’t figure my emotions out like is it making me scared, happy etc i just feel all weird and numb :((
