Ski Resorts for this Winter - PNW vs Tahoe area vs Colorado? Bartending experiences

Currently trying to plan my upcoming winter and for the past few winters I’ve made decent money had a good work life balance in Utah but this year I’m looking to switch it up a bit and am torn between a few options and want to hear from yall about your experiences. I know how each areas skiing itself is but don’t know which area has the potential to make the most money. I’m looking at various resorts in Washington but mainly Crystal mountain, palisades in California or working at hotels/casinos in the area, or headed out to various resorts in Colorado. Any advice is awesome.

Dislocated my shoulder on the Middle White Salmon today. Need hope that I can paddle again.

To preface I’m using voice to text sorry for any typos.

The white salmon has been a bucket list for me to paddle, move to Washington two months ago and went for my first run today. Only got to the end of the second rapid my right paddle blade got caught on some rocks underneath the water and immediately dislocated my shoulder. I went under hit a combat roll and paddle to Safety with a dislocated shoulder don’t know how I did it other than just pure survival instinct friends help me out of the boat and we were able to pop my shoulder back in on the river. it ended up climbing out one friend carrying my boat and the other helping me. went to the ER afterwards possible slap tear or rotator cuff injury. Unsure of surgery is needed. Will be going to orthopedic specialist on Monday.

Will follow doctors recommendations, but I really need hope that I will be able to paddle again one day and I am looking for others experiences with issues like these either themselves or their friends. I want to get back on the white salmon and run it to its full extent. Really just looking for some hope here.

Waypoints/pins based off coordinates? Not routes.

I do a ton of off trail hiking for my job and I’m usually navigating backcountry terrain by bushwhacking and would love the option to set waypoints based off coordinates and so far have been unable to figure out how to do so in the app or on the watch itself. Any tips?

Off trail field work: Apex 4 vs Nomad?

Looking for a watch that would best suit my personal needs. Backpacking, hiking, skiing, fly fishing, climbing, almost any adventure sport outdoors, etc. But that would also work great for off trail biology field work. Most of my work consists of bushwhacking through rugged mountain, forest and alpine/glaciated terrain.

Both watches seem very comparable with the bonus for the Nomad being various fishing modes and easier to read screen with the bonuses for the apex 4 being smaller size, maybe better battery and more scratch resistant screen. I’m having trouble deciding between the two and any direction would be awesome.

Watch Recommendations for field work in rugged terrain (mostly off trail)

Currently in the market for a watch that would work great for off trail field work in rugged terrain.

Most of my work/hiking consists of bushwhacking various mountainous areas and the preferable features that would be in this watch would be

Great battery life

Good altimeter barometer and compass that I can add waypoints to

Generally great tracking functions, a topo map on the watch is not necessary but would be nice.

Good HR sensor

Rugged and able to standup to abuse

Waterproof

Minimalist/not absolutely massive on my wrist.
