60% of Gen Z men have agreed that "feminism has gone too far and is discriminatory towards men" — wow.

It seems that our men of youth have been becoming more and more overtly sexist and hostile towards women in the premise that they are consuming harmful pornographic media, "manosphere" ideologies, and incel radicalization that makes these vulnerable, lonely, young men believe feminism has indeed gone too far and is now used as a means to oppress men.

[EDIT: Please take note that the surveys only consist of a specific pool participant and not actual global or scientific statistics that should be taken as hard facts. The 60% shown in the title is only said to be derived from 20,000 something participants. Still, blatant sexist hostility has been becoming more and more rampant with the newer generation. As for the entire population of boys and men who uphold such misogynistic beliefs is currently unknown.

Furthermore this discussion's intention isn't to generalize Gen Z men, but to show how young men, even those who subsist of these sample pools are being taken advantaged of and lured into spaces meant to dehumanize everyone in a predatory manner.]

Some findings I found interesting are:

- Gen Z and Millennials are more likely to agree that a man who stays home to look after his children is less of a man (25%, 27% respectively) than Gen X (20%) and Baby Boomers (11%).

And..

- Roughly 40% of teenage boys aged 13 to 17 agreed with the assertion that women routinely lie about domestic and sexual violence.

Which leads me to question what has been inciting these young boys to be so actively hostile and distrustful towards women? What are your thoughts on this newly birthed victimhood mindset as a knee-jerk response to progressive feminism?

Personally I believe it's because the patriarchal system, which promised them the world as a man, no longer serves them and is now crumbling compared to the very oppressive eras these boys revere. They seem to externalize pain a lot; blaming women for their own sense of entitlement and "failure" as a man — of which consists of a highly toxic and rigid manhood meant to dominate. Additionally it is also true that for men, it may be harder to find a safety net, emotional support, and help that they may need to de-radicalize themselves to start working on themselves.

It seems that young women have rapidly become more progressive, while young men have plateaued or swung conservative. Weird.

Why are wlw relationships so intense compared to heterosexual relationships?

To preface this, this is not to downplay or generalize heterosexual relationships and this only applies to my experience. I was hoping I could find people I relate to. I have a boyfriend who I love very much, and who loves me very much as well (in real life this time).. but I will never forget the girl I met at 14.

She had the prettiest sky blue eyes, and the most goofiest demeanor— we were both highly sensitive people. She was a dork for psychics, and I've never met anyone as poetic and as deeply intelligent as her. When I was in a dark, dark, place in my life she felt like an entirely different universe that I had the honor of visiting.

I never met her. I probably never will again. The world is too big for us now.

I wish I could have been born in her homeland. I wish I could have touched her, and talked to her. And showed her she was worthy of love. I couldn't have done much in my position as a child, LDR really sucks. But everything with her felt so intense and so real despite it being online.

I'll never forget you M:) wherever you are I hope you're happy 💙

Not so social people of DLSU, how do you get by? I'm so sick of being alone🥹

ID126 here.. LPEP is starting to get closer and closer, and I'm beginning to feel really really nervous. In all honesty, this is a completely new life for me. I did not grow up wealthy and I never really had any friends, but in unexpected turn of events- I got into DLSU! I gave up my slots on SBU and Ateneo and don't regret anything. Something about La Salle spoke to me no other universities have.

I'm just really tired of always being alone, always being jealous of people who have friends to make memories with. I'm tired of getting left behind, and always chosen last. I genuinely want to better myself and meet new people.. I want to make college worth it and I want to feel welcomed. I'm just really scared.

Any tips or stories from people who were once in my shoes?

Men only speaking up about men SA victims when a woman is sharing her SA experience

This is a common trope I often see a lot in social media. Often, it is only when women share about their non-consensual sexual experiences will some men start to care for male SA victims. Frankly, I do not think they care about the victims themselves and is only using that specific space made for women SA victims as an excuse to shut women up. Their tone is often condescending or downright dismissive deliberately not acknowledging what women go through. Some of them would even go as far as to pulling out the "men statistically experience violence in general more" - which is, yes true. But it is because women avoid those places and those people THEY tend to be violent with. We just can't have anything in this world for ourselves - not sure why men love butting themselves in so much in every fucking thing and making it about themselves. Do not get me wrong, I'm all up for awareness and gender equality; Male SA victims deserve a safe space for themselves. But I find it ironic how the only time some people will care about them is when a woman is talking. It's invalidating for both genders. Which is, of course what the patriarchy has always wanted.

Qualifications for a 100% scholarship?

Hello! Incoming ID126 here. I am asking in behalf of my boyfriend, because this is a huge deal for him and his family and I want to help him in any way I can. Is there a specific subset of qualifications one would need to meet to secure a 100% scholarship? I've heard DLSU is particularly lenient with scholarships. Thanks in advance!

Just how lonely can college life in DLSU get?

Incoming freshman here! I am not entirely sure what to expect in regards of the "lasallian student life". In my past local and tight-knit school, I was unfortunately ostracized by my peers due to the school being clique heavy so being lonely isn't a foreign concept to me. And with that, I did not gain proper social skills.. which is why I worry that I might burden my future peers here in La Salle. I saw firsthand how amazing the culture is within the campus during the greening but It feels to me, that I'm afraid of not fitting in.

How can one make friends here if you're not the most sociable person? How did you find your friends?

And how do lonely or introverted folks get through day by day?

Please share your experiences!

I was abused by a closeted lesbian

I can't come forward about this with anyone, I'm too afraid. I also understand that majority of internet strangers won't read a wall of text which is why I cannot and will not explain the full depth of what this person has done to me, so I will instead be using general and absolute terms. This has happened during my formative childhood years (12-16) and I did not yet know the concept of predation and exploitation. So I completely believed her when she had told me everything she has done to me was simply a part of friendship. This person was an incredibly dominant person who was so used to her social circle flaunting and obeying her that she grew obsessed with ("owning") me when I refused to put her in a pedestal.

Since then, she kept acting like a jealous partner who constantly treated me as special. She would copy my every interest. Intimidate people into getting information about me. She oscillated between hot and cold and would let me close to her in private then push me away in public. And the more I supported her emotionally the more volatile and comfortable she became in letting her frustrations out on me. She would scream at me randomly, swear at me, insult me with people; and not just any insults. Personal, degrading insults that made me feel inhumane. But then tell me how she'd fall in love with me, how I'm cute, pretty.

Eventually those "private moments" with her escalated into something sexual where she would ask about my.. routines, partners, or offer "transactions". Or send me pornographic content without the proper label of a relationship. Her ex-boyfriend had also informed me she felt "guilty" for thinking about me in that way.

This has only grown worse with time and it eventually rotted into her genuinely dehumanizing me with the group of friends I thought were mine. I qualified for both PTSD AND C-PTSD a year later.

I am so deeply traumatized. I was never able to move on from this and even years after I cut her off her and her friend are persistently saying hi to me. That's all. Thank you.
