Is this normal?

I’m not a handy guy, and this is my first rental apartment, but a lot of things seem to have been really sloppily done. Maintenance won’t fix most of these things because they are just “aesthetic” (- messy grouting, sloppy wall repairs, cracking & layered paint, “three way” light fixtures where both light switches need to be turned “on” plus a remote - ) and some others such as no ventilation in the bathroom which I had to push them to install as per hospitality laws of the state.

All that to say, is this something I should be worried about? There seems to be some sort of bubble under the “tiles” in my shower. Could this be something that could grow mold or that I could be held liable for? Or better to just document and wait out my lease?

Framework 16 issues with Wi-Fi?

I have a framework 16 and cannot get it to work on the Wi-Fi. Originally, my network adapter failed, and I downloaded the newest driver bundle from the framework website. However, since then, I keep having issues with my Wi-Fi and receiving the message that it's connected with no internet. The strange thing is that the internet works for the most part but doesn't let me fill out forms and logins. I'm not a computer guy, so I don't know what to do. Has anyone encountered this? What should I do?

Just moved into my first apartment! Why does the paint look like this..? (CA)

Moved into a new apartment today and am already having issues over the management, the lease, and necessary functions of the apartment. Maybe it’s all getting into my head… but why does the wall look like this?

It’s a wooden wall right behind the stovetop. The unit just had renovations done, and they told me it was to add new appliances. (Fridge, kitchen sink, oven, etc.) I’m worried about humidity because it’s a small place with minimal ventilation. (Another problem - no working vent in the bathroom.. but back to the wall.)

What can cause such strange drying/cracking? Has anyone seen this before?
