I’m turning 18 soon :) I’m not really planning to celebrate it grandly or do anything fancy. There’s just one thing I’m planning to buy myself—something I’ve been wanting to have for the longest time. a guitar.

It’s something I’ve been meaning to own for so long, pero priorities won’t really permit. Now I think it’s a valid excuse naman since birthday ko to finally buy one ;)

My problem now is I genuinely don’t know what to buy or where to buy one. I’m planning to buy online lang din, so I’m also a little lost when it comes to brands, models, and what’s actually worth the money.

More than anything, I’m looking for something good but definitely affordable, since I’m still a student. I don’t need anything fancy or super high-end. I just want something decent that I can learn on and hopefully keep for a long time.

So if you have any guitar recommendations for a complete beginner, or if you know where I can buy one online here in the Philippines, I’d really appreciate it 🥹

Also, please keep the student budget in mind HAHAHA. I really want to finally get one, but I also don’t want to accidentally spend more than I can afford 😭

Hello po! 🥹 I’m a first-year nursing student and currently in need of some help.

Does anyone happen to have a soft copy of Nursing Theorists and Their Work (11th Edition) by Martha Raile Alligood and can point me toward a legitimate/accessible copy or library source?

I’ve been searching online for days, pero most of the copies I’ve found are paid, and as a broke student, wala talaga akong extra budget for it right now. 😭 Super strict din po kasi ng professor namin, and this is the only reference they accept for the subject.

If anyone knows where I can access it legally, or if your school/library has access to an e-book version, I’d really appreciate the help! 🥹🫶🏻

Thank you so much po sa kahit anong leads or advice! 🫰🏻

Ano po sa tingin n'yo pinaka magandang basahin or aralin before classes start? Ang dami po kasing resources sa internet, nakakalula huhu

Hi!

I'm looking for insights from people who are familiar with or currently under the UP Manila School of Health Sciences (SHS) step-ladder program.

For context, I was a UPCAT 2026 non-qualifier. My priority programs were all health-allied courses, especially BS Nursing. I already secured a slot in bsn at one of the state university I applied to ( NEUST) and was planning to enroll there.

However, I recently received an email from UP Manila SHS inviting me to apply under their Affirmative Action Initiative. From what I understand, this is a special admission pathway into their step-ladder medical program (Midwifery → Nursing → Medicine) for shortlisted UPCAT takers who meet certain criteria.

I'm just wondering:

-Is this opportunity worth pursuing?

-What are the pros and cons of the SHS step-ladder curriculum?

-How does the return service work in reality?

-If your goal is mainly to become a nurse, would you still choose SHS over a regular BSN program?

-For current students/alumni, what's something you wish you knew before entering?

I'm trying to weigh this against the slot I already have at NEUST, so I'd really appreciate honest experiences, advice, or things you wish you knew before entering the program.

Thank you!

Hello po sa mga Ate and Kuya from NEUST BSN, pati na rin po sa mga alumni! > <

Incoming 1st year BSN student po ako. Ask ko lang po sana if may nursing books, notes, PDFs, reviewers, or any study materials po kayo na willing i-share. Gusto ko lang po sana mag-advance study bago magsimula ang classes. Tyia po! 😊
