Move Valet - New Equipment?

Hi all,

I'm moving and have set up an appointment with Move Valet. The phone rep was nice but couldn't confirm the next steps.

Currently using a HH3K on the 1Gbps plan which I am transferring to my new place.

The rep couldn't confirm what I needed to do ahead of my scheduled install.

I assume the tech will bring a new modem to my new place and the HH3K should be shipped back? I assume I only disconnect the HH3K and leave the ONT intact?

Only moving a block away from current place from Toronto condo to another condo lol.

Can Move Valet keep existing building specific plans?

Hi all,

I have some questions about Move Valet as I'm moving in about a month.

Currently I'm living in a condo and get a building discount plan ($56/mo for 1Gbps, was $50 back then). Anyways, this wasn't a plan that showed was available online, I signed for Bell Internet in store in 2020 and they told me about this plan available for my address.

My question is, would Bell Move Valet transfer the plan or would I be forced to change plans?

Alternatively, would they be able to access my new building's plans if there are any (although I doubt they have any incentive to)?

I was debating going in store and pretending to be a new customer to have them tell me the rate and then decide then.

I want to stick with Bell as they are the cheapest option.

Looks like the online plans show the lowest as $65/mo for 1.5Gbps/940Mbps. Whereas Rogers is $70 and Beanfield has $65/mo for 1Gbps. Also, I am a Fibe TV app subscriber and their TV alternatives will be $45/mo on Rogers or Beanfield.

Big Downtown Power Outage?

So, looks like there's a big power outage downtown... I'm in an office at Yonge and Adelaide and I can see even the big Yonge Dundas billboards are out. Wow.

My first elite (team-issued)

Picked this team-issued jersey up at the Jays Authentics shop in the stadium yesterday for $300 CAD.

Considering blank Elites cost over $400 in the Jays shop, this was a pretty good deal. Plus it's a 2026 so it has the 50th season patch as well, the blank ones in store don't have them.

It's a size 44, ever so slightly big on me but I will save it for the colder months and it fits perfectly over a sweater.

Hey yo,

Graduated a few years ago but I was browsing the web and saw that there was a data breach at Instructure, the makers of Canvas.

Which as y'all know, is rebranded as Quercus.

Anyways, it looks like names, emails, student numbers, and private messages were breached.

It's been going around the internet and other universities but it looks like UofT hasn't made a statement yet.

Anyways, just leaving this here.
