Mt Bithongabel, Qld Australia.

Hiked through the waterfalls and up into the cloud forest at 1100m above Gold Coast. This time we camped overnight amongst the Antarctic Beech trees, some of the oldest living organisms on earth up to 12,000 years old. It was incredibly beautiful, but also incredibly wet. Clouds are really wet inside, did you know?

Mt Bithongabel via Toloona Cct Lamington Nat Park

Stayed overnight at the remote bush camp. Hiking into and sleeping in a Cloud Forest is magical.

Mt Bithongabel alt. 1200m Gondwanaland rainforest SEQld

Surrounded by ancient rainforest. The water cascades straight out of enormous Basalt boulders. The pools were so clear its like they were empty. The water was incredibly cold 5c tops, it tasted so crisp and clean, just perfect 👌

69 PV I think HK maybe?

Saw this really nicely done PV at the same servo as that barina. This is one of the nicest 60s Panel Vans ive seen in the wild. Those fluted panels are from a monaro right? They didnt come on panelvans did they? (Apologies for the shitty photo)

Barina came in a softop?!

Saw this at the servo yesterday, thought for sure it had to be some kinda nutty custom job.

Googled it today and realised they actually sold these?

Has anyone driven one? Ive never even seen one.

UPDATE: How can I touch up my sweet new base.

>How can I touch up my sweet new bass?
by u/plantedtank2019 in guitarrepair

My friend just gave me a bass guitar and id like to see what I can do to give it a new lease on life.

I followed advice from here and r/bass to clean with lighter fluid and then used balled up alfoil to rub off some of the corrosion on the frets and on the tuning pegs.

I put some inox on the bridge and tuners.

Strung it with Fender super 250's, apparently the holes in that big ole bridge are designed for bigger strings so I had to use little furniture nails to hold the strings in place.

I was so nervous to play it, my friend who gave it to me had it for a decade and never heard it played. Plugged it in, and it works! I'm so stoked, the journey was fun and easy, only took 4 or 5 hrs all up.

Cheers to learning new things at 45!

How can I spruce up my sweet new bass?

My friend just gave me a bass guitar and id like to see what I can do to give it a new lease on life. Its a vantage avenger from the early 80s. All the pots and keys are intact and it all works afaik. Ive played guitar for ages and Im pretty handy and have a bunch of tools. I dont have much money to spend but id like to see what I can do. Obviously new strings ofc.
