need advice on how to make my bjd pose/look better

hi, i’ve been working on my own bjd for the past few months. so far i’ve made 4 test bodies, and this one is the closest to the result i want.

my problem with this one is that her hip joints are a bit wobbly when she stands straight, and she can’t hold her legs when i bend them with her torso straight. so the knee bents fine, but not the hip. but if i bend the legs with her torso slightly forward- they’re steady and don’t fall back. how can i improve that? maybe the strings are too loose?

i also don’t like how her knee looks right now. i would like it to be closed and for the knee joint to not be visible when her legs are straight, but without having a huge gap when they’re bent. i’ve tried looking up how to sculpt it like the last picture but couldn’t find anything.

and lastly i would like to know if she looks alright at this stage. does she fit the “standards” of bjd? there’s no body blushing yet and i still need to sand her a little, but overall do you guys think she looks ok? do you think she could be improved in any way? i would appreciate any advice, thank you!

my cat’s fur growth progress

first two pictures were taken at the end of April, and 3rd is her progress now!

i noticed then that my cat’s fur became patchy and started shedding a little. i assumed that it was because i changed their kibble a month prior, and changed it back to their previous one. even though i thought i bought a good one, with all the right ingredients, i guess it wasn’t the right fit for my cats and i failed to notice that when they were burying the new kibble. thankfully, her fur regrew with changing their kibble and adding some fish oil to support the hair growth!

just wanted to share this so other people could avoid the same mistake i made. always double check the ingredients of your kibble and pay attention to your kitty’s behavior with it. i thought i upgraded their kibble to a better one, since it was super popular in my country and a lot of people were recommending it, but i was wrong. i was especially scared that her fur wouldn’t come back, since my other cornish lost her curls and i thought that it was because of the kibble too(it’s just her genetics, but that was way before i got a second one).

so yeah, healthy kitty happy kitty!!

a complete mess of a print 😭

i’ve never had a fail this bad. i couldn’t save any parts, all of them are ruined, it all went to the trash. what could’ve caused it?
my first thought is that i shouldn’t save sliced file (i use lichee) directly onto the flash drive, instead save it on my computer first and then drop it to the flash drive. maybe it messed up the slicing, which is likely the case(i hope).
i ordered a new nfep just in case my previous one has worn out and i haven’t noticed. i would check the lcd screen, but i took these pictures before work and won’t be able to go home for another 6 hours.
my printer is Phrozen sonic mighty 8k, the settings are 27s on bottom layers, 4s on normal. i would take a screenshot of the full settings, but again i won’t be able till i get home, sorry for that :(
