English has a term for "island" and for a collection of islands, namely an "archipelago." However, while English has a word for a single body of water fully enclosed by land (lake), it lacks a term for a "system of lakes" other than that fairly lengthy phrase. I'm assuming Latin also lacked such a term, but I would like to try creating (for use in English) a compound term using Latin roots. Would you all be interested in brainstorming?
I'm always hearing about Cicadian rhythm, but they lay dormant for over a decade. Why don't they wake up already?
I was talking to my cat this morning. And later on in the day I drank coffee with tea, and juggled a single orange. In what order should the publication's authorship be? Orange, Tea, Morning, My Cat, Myself, Mycat? Or the palliated reverse? Do I need to credit my hamster's widow?
I created this poll to learn more about where people are planning on going if they Escape_From_America. Survey: https://forms.gle/B8FjAktBxkcSa3dP7 . I conducted a similar poll in 2022 and later shared the results. This year I'm also helping people with family history research & citizenship-by-ancestry assessment. https://oceaneditors.com/genealogy/Genealogy.html

The Spanish Republic if it were more Canadian. Or Canada if it were more Spanish and Republican.

Yesterday I shared a hypothetical Union Flag of Upper and Lower Canada. I woke up this morning and saw this. Is this mitosis? And should I be concerned?
I created an flag of the Union of Upper and Lower Canada in an alternative history where Upper and Lower Canada unify under the terms of Upper Canada.
