Bucks County legislator proposes Idaho Stop for Pennsylvania
patch.comI just realized I have an estate planning issue that might be common...
I've been working on updating my estate planning document, which includes information on how to access all my internet accounts - but many of those accounts now have 2-factor authentication using Google Authenticator.
The problem is that the only way to open Google Authenticator on my phone or tablet is to have my fingerprint or face id!
Has anyone else figured out a solution to this issue?
A Beautiful Day
I haven't shared a video in while but Reynolds park was just too beautiful yesterday.
Has anyone used task management with a local LLM?
I have been turning off almost all the built-ins to avoid confusing the local models I've been using and I just figured out what the task management tool actually does.
Does anyone have examples of using it? I've been having trouble keeping local models on task and it seems like it might be perfect.
I want to create to separate "personas" within Open WebUI, each with their own memories/knowledge/notes and isolate them somewhat from each other. Is that possible?
So, I've been learning how to use local LLMs since the beginning of the year but I just started trying to use Open WebUI today.
One of my goals is to develop a method (a skill, I guess) to have the assistant generate a summary of everything we've talked about in the current conversation and save it to someplace persistent - and then re-load it when we start a new conversation. (By adding the appropriate clause to the system prompt.)
The complication is that I'm hoping to use Open WebUI for two different purposes - software/tech research on the one hand and something more like a life coach on the other. Because the contexts are so different, it seems a good idea to not have the research assistant get bogged down with details of my dietary problems... How do I do this?
As far as I can tell, I can group knowledge by overall topic, but Notes all end up in one big bucket.
I bought a second-hand time machine next Sunday.
People say you shouldn’t buy a used time machine but, as far as I’m concerned, it's a classic. They just don’t make them like they’re going to any more.
Looking for a bit of LM Studio help...
I'm experimenting with extending LM Studio with a simple tagged memory system. It works but when I start a new chat the extension starts out disabled.
Is there a way to tell LM Studio to always enable the extension?
Looking for some help with my app...
So, I wrote https://github.com/mwheinz/AtomDataExtractor to turn Atom2 log files into telemetry data, because https://github.com/koen-aerts/potdroneflightparser wasn't working for me.
(Updated description) - I've been trying to figure out what it would take to support other Atom models, but I don't have the cash to run out and buy multiple models just for a free app but, really, all I need are log files generated by users of the other models so.. could a couple of people share their log files from their Atom drone with me? Possibly give my app a try? You'll need some basic familiarity with python to actually build and run my app.
To get the log files off Potensic Eve on an Android phone, you can get the files by connecting the mobile device to your computer and then copy the individual files to your computer. I'm honestly not sure if you can do this with an iPhone.

Lucky man...
So, I just switched back to Firefox for the first time in years, but I have an odd issue with Google IDs.
Hey, Firefox is amazingly fast, and Chrome has become a pig, so I switched this week. But... I have a couple of charity roles that are each tied to a google email address, plus my personal address. When I open Firefox and go to a google property it always connects me as the first charity account, not as any of the others.
Is there a way to make it default to my personal ID? (I realize this is a fairly esoteric use case...)

Amazon will allow other businesses to use its logistics network to deliver goods
"Any business can now move, store, and deliver everything from raw materials to finished products using the same supply chain that supports Amazon and its independent selling partners."
I wonder how UPS, FedEx, and the Post Office will feel about this?
So, what’s the goofiest thing to happen to you while cycling?
For me, all these years of cycling, I just had a brand new experience: I nearly took a pigeon to the face.
Damn thing took off right in front of me, realized I was there and instead of going back the way it came just decided to turn in the direction I was going. Ithad climbed just to face height when we reached the same location… Had to lead way over to the side… But I just managed to avoid a mouthful of feathers.
So, it could’ve been bad, or at least annoying, but now it’s a funny story. What’s the silliest thing that ever happened to you on a bike?
I got a chance to film the crew renewing the bike park to get it ready for opening next weekend.
