Ohuhu alcohol markers on 163 GSM cardstock--why is it SO horribly streaky?!
I'm new to coloring with alcohol markers, so maybe I just have some misconceptions on how they work. I started off in a Coco Wyo book and felt like colors went down nice and opaque and streak-free as long as I worked fast when trying to blend. I thought thicker paper was supposed to be even better for that, but I've experienced the exact opposite here. The colors seem to dry practically instantly, which makes blending basically impossible unless it's in an extremely small spot (like on the sponge). I colored the frog all in one go, working as quickly as I could in small strokes...as you can see. Clearly. It's like the color refused to blend into itself.
I do think my set may be partially defective, as the gray was genuinely drying out despite being brand new, but all the other markers seen here were nice and juicy, including the green. (I'm completely baffled at how nicely the colors of the mouse's inner ear blended compared to literally everything else here). Do I need to adjust my technique in some way? I was using bullet nibs for the most part, but I switched to the chisel in places where I thought I was running out of time to cover areas before the ink dried. I do think I'll be exchanging for the Honolulu B set (brush + bullet tip), and would still be doing so even if I wasn't having actual issues with my Oahu set (chisel and bullet tip), as I just don't like the chisel much.
How to fix "Error: No drivers were found" with Windows 11 USB clean install from ISO. Drives show up fine in command prompt.
I'm doing a fresh install of Win 11 on my desktop as it seems something to do with startup files may have gotten corrupted. I created my bootable USB ISO on Linux (Mint), as it's the only other functional computer I have right now, but I really don't know how Linux works, so I may have screwed something up.
I can get into the Windows setup, but I can't move past the "Install driver to show hardware screen" because it apparently can't find any. The weird thing is, it seems to already "see" all my drives when I click Browse, and they all show up when I do Shift+F10 > diskpart > list disk in the command prompt. Where do I go from here?
Where are custom, user-uploaded images stored (Windows PC)?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I can't seem to find the answer. I have a handful of images I wish I'd edited/cropped better before adding to the game, and now I want to clear them out. I've already deleted them from their original location, but they still show up in the catalog, so I know the game must copy them to somewhere else as well (which makes sense).
Why do my curved extrusions always end up with kinks in them?
I've been following the fabled doughnut tutorial and trying to do the mug handle extrusion by selecting the initial extruded face and using ctrl+right click to continue extruding along a steady curve, but no matter what I do I end up with something like this at the widest point in the curve. The tutorial made it look so easy, but I've been fighting with this thing on and off for an hour. 😭
