20M, Ketu Mahadasha started last week and I'm losing my mind (Nightmares, sleep deprivation, and hearing voices)

I just turned 20, and my Ketu Mahadasha started last week. I know people say Ketu periods can be rough or weird, but I didn't think it would hit this hard right off the bat. Ever since it kicked off, my sleep has been completely destroyed.

Every time I close my eyes, I get these messed-up, terrifying dreams. It's mostly my family members dying or weird paranormal stuff happening—just chaotic, senseless nightmares that leave me waking up in a panic. Because of this, I'm barely sleeping.

And it's getting worse during the day too. Even when I'm fully awake, I've started hearing random voices out of nowhere. It's honestly starting to scare me.

Has anyone else been through something this intense right at the beginning of their Ketu dasha? Is this normal, or do I need to figure out how to ground myself fast? Any advice would mean a lot.

Troubleshooting Dell Latitude 5400 BIOS Update Hurdles and Firmware Quirks

Managing firmware updates and system maintenance can sometimes present unexpected hurdles, especially when dealing with specific BIOS versions and system hardware on a Dell Latitude 5400. If you have ever run into roadblocks while trying to keep your machine updated, you know how frustrating it can be.

Here is a look at some common firmware challenges, along with how to manage them:

Factory Testing Unit & BIOS Roadblocks: Because this machine is a factory testing unit running a pre-production firmware build (such as version 89.39.19), it creates unique system hurdles. Specifically, this pre-production firmware quirk is the reason why TPM is missing or not showing up in the BIOS, and it can also prevent standard BIOS updates from applying successfully.

System Stability and Thermal Control: To keep hardware running smoothly despite firmware limitations, utilizing balanced thermal profiles like "Optimized" or "Cool" helps manage heat and prevents thermal throttling.

Boot and Power Management: Ensuring a clean boot sequence (with Windows Boot Manager prioritized) and carefully managing battery profiles (such as using adaptive charging) ensures better overall longevity and day-to-day stability.

Have you ever encountered stubborn BIOS update loops on your system? How did you resolve it?

Feeling completely lost at 20, dealing with schizophrenia, and just needed to vent somewhere

I am typing this with shaking hands because I do not know what else to do or where to go.

I am 20 years old but my mind feels completely broken. For the three years I have been fighting severe depression and schizophrenia. To cope with the pain of depression and schizophrenia I started smoking years ago and now I am burning through 50 cigarettes a day just to get through the hours of depression and schizophrenia.

The worst part is the hallucinations from schizophrenia and the emptiness from depression. I look at pictures of my friends and family. I cannot even recognize them anymore. My own mind is turning against me because of depression and schizophrenia. I have spent every penny I had trying to find a doctor who could fix my depression and schizophrenia but the big ones turned me away and the heavy medicines I am on right now are just turning me into a zombie. They make me feel worse yet I still cannot sleep at night because of depression and schizophrenia.

I am completely on my own with my depression and schizophrenia. My family has cut ties with me I have no one left. I live entirely by myself in this darkness of depression and schizophrenia. I have tried hard to hold on but I am so tired of fighting depression and schizophrenia. I have lost all hope of getting better, from depression and schizophrenia.

20M, smoked 50-55 cigs a day for 5 years. Getting a cough when I skip. Will an X-ray show anything and can I heal?

I'm 20 years old and I've been smoking about 55 cigarettes a day for the last 5 years (started pretty young). Lately, I've noticed that whenever I skip smoking for a day, I start getting a weird cough.

It’s really starting to scare me. I have a few questions and could use some advice from people who've been through this:

X-rays: If I get a chest X-ray done right now, will it show any damage, or is it too early/hidden?

Current condition: Realistically, what shape do you think my lungs are in after 5 years of this habit?

Reversibility: I genuinely want to quit for good. If I stop now, will my lungs ever go back to normal, or is the damage permanent?

Thanks inار you can share your thoughts or experiences. Need to kick this habit before it gets worse.

Why Doesn't Vedic Astrology Use Uranus and Neptune? And Why Are Planets Considered Deities? I've always been curious about something in Vedic astrology.

Why are Uranus and Neptune not considered important in Vedic astrology, even though they're real planets? Is it just because they weren't discovered in ancient times, or is there a deeper philosophical reason?

Also, another thing that confuses me: in astrology, planets like Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn are associated with deities (Devas/Grahas). But in reality, they're just physical planets in space. How did these celestial bodies become connected with gods? Were the deities symbolic representations of the planets, or did people literally believe the planets themselves were divine?

I'd love to hear different perspectives, especially from people who study Vedic astrology or Hindu philosophy.

Edit:Before anyone says, "Uranus and Neptune are too far away and ancient people didn't have the technology to see them," that's exactly what I'm trying to understand. If the knowledge and methods used to develop Vedic astrology were advanced enough to create such a detailed astrological system, why didn't they also identify these planets? Is the reason simply that they couldn't be observed with the naked eye, or is there another explanation within the tradition? I'm asking this out of curiosity, not to criticize anyone's beliefs

TL;DR: I'm trying to understand two things: Why doesn't Vedic astrology include Uranus and Neptune even though they're real planets? And how did physical planets like Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn become associated with deities in Hindu astrology? Are the gods symbolic, or were the planets themselves considered divine?

Thanks

My mom having an affair with my teacher!!!

Me[20] Mom[45] My second Step Dad[49] Tutor is maybe[26]. There are 3 people living in my house, me, my mom and my second step dad. Our family was very happy and my parents' married life was also very good. My mom is a homely housewife She is a very simple woman who does not talk much to outsiders. A few years ago in 2021, my step dad got transferred out of station. I am very weak in Mathematics, so we hired a home teacher in January who started coming to teach me at 5 to 8 in the evening My teacher lived far from my house, so he would often stay at our house. So what happened was that yesterday I was watching photos on TV. My TV is connected to Google account which is my mom's account. There were some pics and videos with the tutor which were inappropriate, I have kept them locally. To show it to my step dad but I don't want them to get divorced and our family to break up. Please help me, what should I do? This is my temporary account which I will delete later. Feel free to DM for any Advice.

Thanks
