Details about this month’s contest

This month's theme is "Elemental Kids 💧⛰️💨🔥"! Don't feel like you have to be limited to the standard elements, there are many magic systems that have non-traditional elements. You can pick a single element, or showcase several. Here are some examples from the mods 😁

We will be accepting submissions until July 19 and then voting will be held starting July 20. 

NOTE: The first image in your post will be the one that gets voted on, so craft your image carefully!

If your sky kid submission is wearing or using ANY IAPs, cosmetics, or spells that are OLDER than 1 year, then you must flair your post as a 'Veteran'.

If your sky kid is ONLY wearing cosmetics available within the last year, you must flair your post as a 'Moth'.

See this post for the full list of Moth Cosmetics. Anything not listed is therefore a Veteran Cosmetic

There will be 1 winner per category and the winners will get $25 USD worth of IAPs.

Details about the selection process

The Winners will be chosen based on a weighted score from a panel of judges and the amount of poll votes. The judges' scores will account for 70% of an entry's total score and general votes will count for the remaining 30%.

Panel Judges will be selected from a pool of the past year's winners. Judges will score each entry on a scale of 1 to 5 for the following criteria:

• Following the contest theme and rules
• Outfit uniqueness
• Outfit balance/colour scheme
• Photo composition (background, pose, artistry [ignore image resolution/quality])
• Backstory creativity
• Overall impression of the entry

General voting will remain the same.

Just started listening to Stephen Fry reading Mythos, a retelling of Greek mythology that he wrote himself. It's filled with little conversational asides (maybe footnotes in the text version?) on the etymology of words originating from the names of the Greek gods, which is very fun.

I don't like typing on my phone. I use voice to text whenever possible. But why does v2t make really stupid grammar mistakes. The there/they're/their mistake, the then/than mistake, the whose/who's mistake. I could go on. Grammar check in MS Word has been around for over three decades. Apple and Google have been using autocorrect and predictive language models to complete our sentences before we finish typing at least 10 years if not longer. Why is v2t making really stupid grammar mistakes that are obviously wrong in context???

A sunflower that didn't disappear after days of bloom :O	The pose showcases the cape nicely, I like the color combination of the outfit.	Soldier on sunflower! Don’t disappear! An inconspicuous Lily Pad	The hair and the mask are an unexpected choice with this outfit, but i applaud the originality.	Hiking Grouch is so antisocial it makes total sense he’d deploy camouflage to avoid other hikers…😂	Very inconspicuous as a lily pad, but when revealed the outfit looks great together 👌	Complete with a sturdy stem and its own pond lily?! A frog would be very happy :]	You blend right in! With this camouflage, your peace will surely be kept! If frogs are ever introduced, I wonder if the Hiking Grouch would appreciate their company.
Candle Cake Ninja	The color palette is spot-on! The red goes well with the candles, of course, but I love the choice of the hairstyle to imitate the flames, as well.	What a great picture! I love the outfit, hope you don’t scare me on my candle run!	Cute outfit and I like the picture as well with the candles glowing. Camouflaged well, but cnce you notice the outfit it really stands out 👌	Perfect choices!! The dress's silver lining match the treasure candle to a T, and even the chosen hair mimics a wick's flame!	Beautiful entry, your candle has never been brighter! Using the Days of Nature hair as the flame is very clever.
🌀☀️Warrior Of Love Replica☀️🌀	What an accurate replica, nice idea	Warrior of Love gets a mini clone! I like how you posed together to really emphasize the size differences too.	A very accurate replica, I think anyone who saw this in game would try to give you their candles 😂🫴🕯️	Lookit the cutiee <3 Not really any sort of camouflage happening imo, but I'm sure the Warrior adores the mini-me just as I do	I love the Warrior of Love! I hope you meet many other fellow warriors out in the skies!
wild lettuce???	I love the pose of the sky kid! So funny and clever. Bring the lettuce into the world of sky!	Cute lettuce gremlin blends in perfectly. I love how you used the emotes to create 🥬	I would be very confused seing this in game 😂, even outside of cabbage mode the outfit looks great 👌	The cutest lettuce this time of year! What a creative way to use the arum lily cape!	Great entry! Sky devs saw kids scrambling for the resize potions to become taller and decided to introduce vegetables.
Just a little manta	Very cute, the pose and location is spot-on for this disguise. It can't get any more manta than this outfit.	The perfect camouflage doesn’t exis…oh wait! That’s a sky kid!	Very cute outfit and I love the shot with the mantas, it looks like you're going to fly away with them 🕊️	Adorable :] How a manta sprouted legs is a mystery worth solving! A perfectly timed snapshot. A very lost journey player	Is this sky or journey? Who knows, only the mysterious silhouette remains. This photo gives me liminal space vibes, but i love it. The ball pit creature	Such a fun idea to incorporate the new seasonal area for this contest! The outfit is unique, i like the roundness of it (the pants, the headphones, the neckline of the cape), it goes well with the background. Very original idea and great execution!	Love how all the bubbly elements in the outfit blend into the background. Really cute idea.	The pants and headphones and shoes match the ball pit well. Cute outfit 😻	Back to the (ball)pit from whence you came! Moomin pants are perfectly plump and plush for the ballpit. Clever Carny	The outfit really fits the carnival vibe, I love the use of other circus-y cosmetics outside of the current season. Just another constellation in the night sky ⋆｡°✩	Among many great entries, this one is genuinely my favorite. The use of the prop is genius, the cape and the constellation on the head fit so well with the background. Tiny bud💐	At first I didn't know where the sky kid was on the first photo, which means it was an amazing disguise! Very clever idea.	Really the perfect disguise. If not for the second picture, I’d never notice tiny lil bud peeking out.	Blends in so well I need the second picture 😂 Cute outfit especially with the rose mask 🌹	Amazing! Krill Researcher Camouflage	A researcher is certainly a unique job for a sky kid. The pants and the head accessory used here are original and I like it. Of course the krill cosmetics make it easier to blend it with the krills overall. Nicely done	Love the description and the dedication to science 🤓	Epic action shot, and the outfit and poses are great too. I love the outfit as well, it fits together nicely 👌	I love the potential story behind this skykid! The bone helmet, foraged from the Wasteland, would be a perfect disguise to watch krill closely.
