I normally don't check the clocks.

Got lucky this time ( get it.. time).

And still works kind of.

Gonna put it in a zip lock bag at home.

Cause Radium dust.

14' sconce from UG.

It's a 14' sconce with a 10' base. Couldn't ID it 100%.

The geiger counter hit 250 cpm's. So old n spicy.

Just wanted to share. BTW found at Value Pillage.

Lower case fiesta plate.

Its old and used by someone who didn't know. But look at that CPM. Uranium glass is mostly < 250 cpm.

Spicy find for $2

Radiation Made Visible (Here’s How)

You can use a DIY cloud chamber to see radiation! ☢️

Alex Dainis shows us how to use uranium glass beads, sometimes called Vaseline glass. Uranium acts as a colorant in the glass, and most of its radiation stays trapped inside. But isopropyl alcohol and dry ice can still reveal it. As the alcohol condenses, charged particles leave visible tracks. With the beads inside, there's noticeably more activity than in tests without them. However, it's hard to say how much of this activity comes from the beads versus background radiation like cosmic rays.

Orange Uranium Glaze tea pot.

Its small and in really good condition.

It looks a lighter orange than my other orange pottery.

My geiger counter doesn't get much action but when it does.

And $3 whoa.

Bottom pic has no info on maker.

Just excited to share.

Geiger Counter issue

This little geiger counter has been great.

But the wheel toggle to do everything felt weak from the get go.

Now its just stuck in cpm.

But for I think about $70 its seemed worth it.

Before this guy stops working all together my heart is set on an alpha hound.

Glow green already

Strip lights can be hard if you put them up in a hurry. Especially the 2nd time using a strip.

Fun hobby.

Platter from a casino?

I googled the heck out of this platter/plate. Can't fiind anything. But its radioactive and has crazy cards and scenery stamps.

What what cards?

Murano Amberina Ashtray.

Its a perfect little ashtray.

Wow its hard to photograph glass at the bar. 😜

Is the 3rd pic consistent with other Murano examples? I haven't seen this waffle base before.

Murano Uranium Swan.

I was so excited I showed everyone around me.

Great thrift and a Wednesday senior discount.

Reality check.

The tail is chipped a little.

Its not perfect.

But really close.
