My mother has a lot of money in INR. By default she can send only $250K per financial year. We want her to gift me say $800K or even larger like $1.5M every year for the next 2-3 years. How can that be done?

1. Should I open an NRO account in India and she transfers INR there and I somehow get that converted to USD? How?
2. This is a gift, not medical or education purposes
3. She doesn't have 4 relatives as such to whom she can first sent $250K each and they send it to me.
4. We want to transfer this money while she is alive rather than wait for her to pass away when the problem will only complicate

I just moved to Santa Clara (from Mountain View) and feel that the tap water tastes different. Is that because it is hard (harder?) than Mtn View?

What are the residents doing here if it is indeed hard. I am renting an apartment so can't install a whole house water softener or even an under-sink RO filter with a tank.

I started using Dreambeans a few days back and gave it access to pretty much everything it asked. I am generally in Google and Android ecosystem for last two decades.

It is now making some really good suggestions (and some are just so-so). I am curious about a few suggestions that show me with a girl. I am single and have a crush on this girl who is married and a friend. Her husband is also a friend. I talk to her often but only on WhatsApp. I don't have email exchanges with her and have only a few photos with her in Google Photos and 99% of those photos have many others in there as well.

I am really curious to understand why and how is Google picking her in making suggestions to go grab some Mediterranean dinner or a walk or a trip etc with her? Google can't see inside WhatsApp but it still picks her in so many of the recommendation cards and makes such cute photos of us together.

I asked Dreambeans why am I getting this and who is the girl in the photo and it just says that it a randomized picture and no one person in particular. But it is. Every single time.

I am comparing these two complexes that are within $150 per month rental price for a 2-bed 2-bath apartment.

Any views if you are living in either of them? I don't mind noise that much as I am a heavy sleeper. What are some pros and cons of these places?

Also, perhaps compare against Lawrence Station perhaps? Thanks.

I am moving away from Mountain View as that is getting too expensive. I want a 2-bed 2-bath apartment. Don't care about school district at all and actually Mtn View, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara and even Cupertino would work.

I want nicer newer construction or at least good renovation with large windows and good kitchen and bathrooms. A fitness center is nice to have but not a deal breaker. I don't care for pool or club house as I never use these. I saw a few places but can't figure out between:

I am interviewing for an EM position at Google where they build and maintain tools for internal devices and services. What kind of systems design interview can I expect? I have don't any web-style product design so architecture that require REST api, load balance, gateway, databases, network, performance, authentication are something that I have no clue about.

I am headed to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks with my X-T30. Tips on what gets good pictures? Composition as well as execution? Wide lens? Zoom in for collapsing depth? How to capture the tall trees and the greenery?

I have Viltrox 23 mm, 33 mm, 56 mm and Fuji 18-135 and 70-300 mm lenses. Which all to bring? Thanks

I have a 13 year old CX5 in California with 150K miles. Over the last month the A/C has been erratic. One some days it works as normal - very cold.

On other days, it just doesn't cool at all. There is always air, i.e., blower seems fine and volume of air is good. The cabin air filter is new. What can I do to triage this problem further?

I will arrive in Berlin late Friday night in June and leave from Prague early Sunday morning.

1. I enjoy all aspects of travel - architecture, city views, history, museums, exploring neighborhoods, food, nature, hiking, photography (perhaps just not into shopping or beaches). Vacations need not be relaxing for me, I like to walk all day!
2. I have full 8 days and am thinking first 3 days in Berlin and last 3 in Prague
3. Looking for ideas for middle 2 days. Of course need time to checkout, transit and checkin.
4. Random thoughts - half day or full in Dresden or Cesky Krumlov.
5. Please suggest if I should just extend either Berlin and Prague and spend 5-6 hrs in transit or worth adding a city as a day trip or perhaps overnight stay. I am not planning to rent a car. Just solo travel using train + bus.

I am open to all kinds of feedback and suggestions. I just have confirmed my air tickets so 8 full days are what I have. Thank you!!

I want to take a short vacation in beautiful Czech Republic. I will checkout out of Berlin hotel morning of Tue. I can spend some hours there or head towards Czech right away.

I fly out of Prague on Sun. I have 4 full days - Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat. Options:

1. I go on Tue from Berlin to Cesky Krumlov and see the place on Wed. Go to Prague same night. Spend 3 full days (Thu/Fri/Sat) in Prague

2. I stay all nights in Prague and make a day trip to Cesky Krumlov

3. I stay two nights (Tue, Wed) and go early morning to Prague and spend 2.5 days there

...

Basically, I don't know how to plan my days and time around Prague and Cesky Krumlov? I have about 4.5 days total. All suggestions are more than welcome. I am confused. Thanks. I am from the US and it is my first in this part of Europe.
