Brand new Lapua brass, Sierra blitzking bullets no compression of powder. Bullets sticking in the neck before fully seating? If so, just lube the bullets a bit?

Think I stumbled on a good load for the 550gr campro Spitzer I posted a while back.

No pressure signs, recoil was surprisingly light. Overall very promising initial results. And before you say it's only 5, I only wanted to load 5 in case the first shot proved sketchy and then I would only have to take apart 4.

Anyone know these autographs?

Think the first one is Eddie something, no clue on the second. I found it years ago during my mass buying phase.

Brass solids?

Wanting to make/fine and load brass solids. Any tips or notable differences loading brass solids vs jacketed rounds? .264 and .458 diameter bullets.

Pranking the apprentice went well.

Told him the fugly green robes white pointed hat and butterfly net would boost his stats. (They do not.) And then he teleported into a trench war to test out his, 'bussin new outfit.' *Sigh* this one seems to be missing a few braincells.

Best way to get more consistent speed?

Besides better brass, I'm resizing using a full length die, they're trimmed +/- .002in, check every primer seat and i measured the powder to within .01gr and seat within .001in (using sierra blitzking w/ plastic tip) still have deviations up to 50fps either way from average with some flyers going even more. I can get sub 1 MOA with them but it's just driving me nuts I can't pin it down.

Third time's the charm?

Everything was ground to flour consistency, everything except the sulfur was dried at 250F for a couple days, then everything was milled for a couple days.

Update after another 24 hours of tumbling.

Burns much cleaner, going to grind the charcoal and dry everything out in a toaster oven for the next attempt.

Would this be able to hold up to Ruger no. 1 loads?

Just wanted to confirm as it didn't say anything in the listing.

My first serious attempt at making black powder.

Proper ratios were used, I had it mixing in a slightly modified rock tumbler for 20 hours. Think I need to use a sieve on my charcoal. What do we think?

I found this chart at my local gun store and was wondering how accurate it is.

Could this be used for finding similar powders if you couldn't find a specific one? Adjusting charges up or down depending on burn rate?

Had a bit of a misclick when ordering stuff. Got 550gr fmj instead of 450gr fmj for 45-70.

There any loads out there that will be usable in a single shot break action? Or do I just wait until I have a falling block or bolt action?

I have a Henry single shot 45-70. Will it hold up to the Ruger #1 Hornady/ Modern rifle Lee loads?

If so, I want to know what heretical nonsense loads ya'll have tested. I'm starting with trapdoor level loads for now but eventually want to get to fuck your shoulder loads.

Found this wonderful t-shirt at a local gun show recently.

*Insert joke here.*

Sometimes I look at the non magicals in the town my bunker is near and am both inspired and concerned.

Am totally adding this to the bunker security system.

Got some misc. 45-70 from my local range. Some are slightly shorter.

I assume to fit monoflex bullets, can you still use that brass to make regular rounds?
