good android tv with tv box compatibilities

my main interest is to plug ntfs drives in it and watch movies of various formats and codecs [mp4, mkv, av1, h265, possibly video_ts too]. looking for a good native player that plays that and let me choose audio and sub tracks, or the possibility to download a good one like vlc or kodi

boxes confrontarion

my specifics

- i live in italy

- would like to be able to find them on amazon so if they do not work i can easily ask for a refund

- must be able to read ntfs drives

- must be able to read the most of video/audio codecs, although i don’t usually dabble on very big files or very specific formats, you never know

- i want only to play the content of my plugged drives, so that should be the main focus and very easy to do when you turn on the box

- google tv streamer, thomson 270 and minix 8k were already tested and not approved

as of now i have these ones on my list

nvidia shield pro

formuler z12

homatics box r 4k plus

nipogi pinova mini 1

ugoos am6b+

chrox android 12.0

dune hd pro vision 4k

ugoos sk1 8k ultra hd

zidoo z9x 8k

which one would be the best pick? price is not an issue if i fix this problem forever, kinda

which one should i buy for just playing the movies on my drives?

i come from very bad experiences with google tv streamer, thomson tv box and minix 8k. i don’t want to stream, i don’t want plex, i have my ntfs driver full of stuff and i want to watch them on my tv through a player that can read them all. is nvidia shield still the best choice?

raspberry pi 5 for watching movies from drives

is it good? can it read ntfs drives easily? can it play basic formats [mkv, mp4, avi] and read subtitles both inside and outside the files? is 4gb of ram enough?

best media players that read ntfs drives

want to plug my hds to them to watch my stuff on my tv, i’d prefer to not format the drives since they are big and full and would take time

jellyfin for playing files from hd plugged on tv

is jellyfin good for this? not for a media server and stuff, but just to play files from an hard drive plugged on the tv, in order to fix all the compatibility issues that the native player might have, i have a lg webos if it matters

something like Cinaura but for LG?

hello, been reading about r/cinauratv for a while, but unfortunately is not available on lg webos, is out there something similar available? i’m talking scanning the content of an harddrive to play it on the tv without the limitation of compatibility of the tv

best media player to plug to the tv to plug an hd to

first of all i know it’s not strictly plex related, but i feel like it’s for the same purpose and some people on this sub might help me. i have various issues with using plex: old pc, don’t have a nas, had a rough time setting it up and making it work in the past. so my way of choice is plugging my hd to my smart tv and watch stuff from there. most of the time it works but every once in a while a video or audio codec is not supported, or some subtitle inside an mkv file is not read by the tv player. so i was wondering which could be a possible good intermediary between the hd and the tv, one that would fix by itself all the compatibility problems. if was good at plexin i would do that but i still want to do this for the same purpose you all do plex [enjoying my stuff in peace] so if you have a clue please help me
