I need to find an inflatable kayak that can handle a motor or has a pedal drive, and can stand up to use fishing off cape cod. Any ideas?

I love the iTreks by Hobie but the price is insane. What I worry about with more budget models is durability. Pls help

Anyone try out the Bote Lono or a similarly portable pedal drive yak? For use off of cape cod.

The bote is expensive but looks awesome, obviously the hobie inflatables are likely great as well. Anyone have firsthand experience with fishing on that type of kayak? My dilemma: I live in Boston, don’t have a car, and need a kayak portable enough to fit in the back of a Chevy suburban. Any advice appreciated

Bought a Yume Raptor 2 Today, Here Are My 1st Impressions After Riding It ~5 Very Urban Miles

Background and Why I Upgraded: I’ve had a Teewing X3 for a little over a year and LOVED it. The bang for the buck, speed, battery life were all wonderful and honestly the best thing for my own personal use case was how well it stood up to having the snot beat out of it. It was my first scooter and I lost track of the number of times I wound up semi/actually crashing it (usually as a result of me absent mindedly pulling the throttle lever while standing next to it and distracted by my phone, but a few pretty embarrassing yard sales brought on by Boston’s legendary combo of potholes, mortal kombat style traffic and inexperience) and being stunned that there was only slight cosmetic damage but no functional issues. The thing was a tank, and last week I Jerry rigged a couple of fishing rod holders mounted onto the rear footrest and permanently retired it to its new home on cape cod for use as a canal/beach cruiser. The reason I decided to retire a scooter I loved and that was still functionally performing at near 100%? Last week (while whipping between two fishing spots) I hit a pothole going 35 and finally got a sidewall bubble in the rear tire. I stopped by Central Scoot In Cambridge to get a replacement and saw the floor version of the Yume Raptor 2 and immediately decided it was upgrade time.

This afternoon, I finally found myself with some time in my schedule and went onto their website, bought the scooter w/ Apple Pay, and showed up an hour later and it was fully assembled with all the accessories attached ready for me to ride out the door. **This is the third scooter transaction I’ve done with the guys at Central scoot, and if you’re in the Boston area with a scooter that needs repairs or are in the market for a new scooter going with them is a no-brainer. They didn’t ask me to write any reviews or offer any reward for plugging them, I just want to recognize a well run, knowledgeable, local business that somehow price matches every type of scooter they carry with zero hassle.** Anyways, I jumped on the scooter and took off for a quick ride back to Boston. Here are my first impressions after about 5 miles-keep in mind that I am 6’7 240ish lbs.

-the suspension on this thing is unbelievable. Like shockingly smooth and natural. It handled the worst parts of Cambridge/boston’s destroyed roads incredibly well. the built in dampener makes a huge difference

-the acceleration is natural and powerful, even in the second/third gears of single motor riding. It feels much more tuned than the teewing

-the twist throttle is going to take some getting used to. Jury is out on how I’ll end up feeling about it after more use, but I didn’t love how hard it was to keep even a finger on the right break while twisting the throttle.

-the brakes are excellent, so much tighter than the Teewing were out of the box that it took a bit of getting used to.

-the tech features are awesome, obviously a huge step up from the teewing. Really cool that there’s both the nfc fob as well as a place to physically use a key to turn it on located in the side of the deck

-build quality is extremely good. Huge amount of footspace on the very grippy deck.

[REQ] ($250) - (Falmouth, MA, USA), (Repay 350 tomorrow 5/12/2026), (Zelle if possible but can make PayPal work)

Don’t be scared off by high repay rate. I just really need the money for a hotel room this evening and I can repay tomorrow first thing in the morning. If you have questions instead of assuming I’m doing something shady please just ask. Can provide any evidence required showing that repayment will be prompt and that I am a fantastic candidate for a loan.
