I think I lost. I am Black. We didn't have time to continue or attempt to score.

That said, if this game has been around for as long as people say it has--how long has the rules for scoring been around? I would imagine Chinese rules are older.

My girlfriend and I play one game a week. The rest of the week we'll go over basic strategies and learning shapes. At least I will, she's currently fascinated by how the game is organized and scored to determine the winner at the end of the game. It's a real blessing to share the love of this game with the people who we love.

It's unfortunate American Go Association won't publish a hardcopy instead of just an e- journal. European Go Journals are beautiful--I'm going to get a few of their yearbooks. But even something simple like this old staplebound journal would be really cool.

Had a good weekend. I started teaching the game to my girlfriend and one of her kids.

These are a set of William Morrow. I believe they contract with Harper Collins. Does anyone know where these are printed? I was going to buy Folio but just couldn't swing it. These look pretty decent.

Not really a question, but my girlfriend and I are new to the game, and we went out to eat tonight and took a 9x9 with us and played "capture go," and it was so much fun!!
